You would just want to curl back – with your woolens on - in a chair with a cup of ultra hot tea and just smile at the spectacle being played in the sky, which by the way is at your eye level! This was the best morning view in our road trip. The hotel is decent in terms of cleanliness and service. Breakfast is complimentary and was awesome. The hotel is run by a biker guy who has many adventurous tales to tell!

It sure is a great option to stay when in Kalpa.

For what it is worth, this was our complete road trip: Chandigarh - Theog - Sangla - Chitkul - Kalpa - Kaza (Langza, Komic, Hikkim, Key monastery, Kibber) - Kumzum pass - Chandrataal - Manali - Prashar – Chandigarh

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere. Rooms were very clean and up to the mark. I had spent a day stay in this hotel. Food was very tasty. The first part of disappointment was, when I reached in the evening, we were very hungry so I asked them what can I get instantly? later they provided us bread butter and onion potato (pakoda) and this 2 items costed me ₹400 😮. It was not at all worth it to pay this amount. So it’s my humble request to the people visiting this resort that only have your meals which are included in your package and do not order any extra items because they are charging way to higher. The other part of disappointment was hotel is not equipped with proper staff because when I reached the hotel only one person was there in the hotel no one was there to take our lugguage and all stuff we only done all that. At the time of checkout the same thing. So I think the owner of this hotel Mr and Mrs should take into consideration such things which would help them to serve the guest better. This is the reasons why I am giving them 3 star rating and I am sure that my next visit would be a 5 star...

Recently my friend and I ( 2 women travelers ) visited Spiti. We started from Shimla and visited Kalpa on the way to Tabo. We stayed at Hotel Apple Pie

Pros -

Hotel Apple Pie provides a neat and clean room with great view. Room is good enough. Food is good enough.

Cons -

The Entrance of this hotel is not at all appealing. the Hotels staffs are just ok, hardly smiles. we were the only guests during our visit. Bathroom is not upto the mark or standard. Dint even have curtains in the bathroom which was facing opposite building's terrace. toilet seats are below average and dint seem hygienic & clean at all. we stayed in much more remote place like Tabo, Mud village who provided modern bathroom at the same cost almost. inside the cupboards it was full of dust. All together not a great value for money and a over hyped place. this hotel only received popularity because it is mentioned in DOW blogs.
