This is indeed a RARE HOUSE, comprising of the best views in Kalgha along with the kindest, friendliest and familiar people running it. Entire stay felt like a home away from home. Property is maintained with good standards with clean, spacious rooms having clear mountain views. This place is so peaceful, laid back and gives a positive vibe about life. Everything kind of slows down here for you to enjoy each moment fully. Their cafe is lovely with good aesthetics and you can spend entire day cozying inside it. The food is for sure going to win your heart. All of their food items have a homely touch and taste which is so satisfying. I can even say to the extent that if not the best then surely one of the best food in all of Kasol (Pahadi chicken is a must try).

I had a memorable time here, thank you - Sanjay, Deepak, Abhishek, Daai for such a brotherly hospitality. I’m so thankful for letting me be a part of RARE HOUSE community and experiencing it with you guys. This was my 4th visit to Kalga and I will say Rare house team has worked on everything that bothered me in other stays in the same area. Cozy rooms with very clean and warm quilts, clean washrooms, 24*7 running hot water, spacious common area with a beautiful smokeless tandoor, and Deepak bhais food was out of the world. Please try their momos, chicken korma, and butter chicken. I would say everyone in Rare house is giving their all to make your visit a worthwhile in this heaven of a place. If in Kalga do pay them a visit if for stay good if for food to their cafe even better and let me know how you liked it.

Also, Kalga is a quaint little hamlet situated on the left bank of the Parvati in Sosan. You will have to cross the hydro power plant at Barshaini and hike for 200 mtrs.

Don’t miss out on hiking trails that starts from here. Ask Rare house and they will help you. Rohan there is a seasoned hiker/trekker. Passionate about helping and taking small groups for fun walks.
