This is a moderate hotel undermined by its location and resources and while the staff are cordial and eager to assist, they are not adequately trained to manage customers expectations properly. There's a particularly acute mosquito problem at the hotel and the hotel staff can only do so much to control it, despite their valiant efforts.
We were first given the wrong room (twin instead of king size) despite being told earlier in the day that the king size would specifically be prepared for us. Then, in our new king size room, which was hastily provided and not prepared for a double occupancy, upon reporting that the wall-sized blind inside the shower was stuck with unsightly, disgusting mold, I had no response for half an hour despite multiple calls. When I was eventually given a new room, it had the same problem. So did the next room - nobody had bothered to check the original issue in my room, not ensure that it wasn't present in the replacements offered. I eventually had to request them specifically to clean the mold on my original room, the person who assisted me didn't seem to think there was any problem expecting customers to shower in such conditions. I don't necessarily blame them for this view, the hotel staff should be given more clear direction regarding the standards guests expect.
Breakfast service was regularly slow with our hot orders but the quality of the offerings are to be commended.
My recommendation to hotel management:
remove the blinds or shift them outside the window rather than inside. Also instruct housekeeping to unwind and wipe them dry daily. That this isn't already the case is insane to me. Allow guests to make hot orders at the kitchen counter and wait for them. Orders taken by the attendant at the counter seemed to cause confusion. Also ask waiting staff to be less aggressive in asking guests whether they require assistance, we had far too many people trying to help us, disrupting our breakfast and dinner...

The culture followed to entertain guests is unparalleled. Mr Vikas (GM) I am indebted to reciprocate for all the love i got at the hotel through this feedback.
Mr James was so cooperative for any overall assistance.
Mr Jithin along with Mr Anjum and team members were up and about for food and beverages related hospitality.

Read moreThe service was very good but they need to improve the upkeep of the hotel. I think during COVID times they did not maintain the normal upkeep due to lack of hotel guests hence the 3-star review.
I believe they have a good setup with staff who are proactive, polite, right attitude and above all professionalism that is needed in a 5-star hotel. I guess the management did not put enough thinking while business was slow. When it was built I am sure it was built to be a 5-star accommodation. Right now that is hard to bring back. A few examples - 1. The gym air conditioning is in bad shape. I do not think it is healthy inside. The air inside the gym is moist and heavy. They need to clean the air conditioning system and run it regularly. 2. The pool water is dirty. you can't see the floor - not sure if the water is not cleaned/recycled or something else that makes the water like that. The pool area is also not managed well. you can find towels, sandals and dead bird(!) for days before someone takes care of it. Also a lot of cigarette buds lying around. I suggest the hotel provides more staff for cleaning and place more bin for smokers to drop their buds. 3. The rooms are also not well kept. stain on the floor, stained sofa, scratched windows, old or ragged towels are only a few examples. I was given brand new towels and old ones that is yellowish. However, I commend the staff for fixing my door on their own when they found out it was too stiff to close. I also appreciate the turn-down service and cleaning the staff did during my 10 nights stay there. I also thank all the chefs and staff for providing food with variety and care. I wish them all...
