Hotel Bluehill - Hotel in Bhavnagar — Hotel in Gujarat

Had a overnight stay at Bluehill . Its a decent budget hotel that can do with a bit of revamping. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The only problem was despite having a small balcony overlooking a park; the windows had to be shut due to pigeon poop across the balcony. The balcony didn't seem to have a clean wash for many months !! The wifi was shut due to some connectivity issues. Despite advertising free breakfast on various travel sites; the management insisted that there was no free breakfast ! The restaurant was well maintained and clean. But then; Bhavnagar has several well known eating places and street food; eating at the restaurant is an option. Would rate Bluehill 6/10...

Pretty nasty. I have practical expectations of hotels in India, having stayed in everything from posh international hotels to cheap highway hotels. Bluehill looked posh from the outside, and may have been nice at one time, but it's glory days are long behind it. The lobby smelled strongly of urine. When bellhop turned on the lights to my bathroom, cockroaches scurried away. And as I quickly began stomping at them, the bellhop shrugged his shoulders, as if it were a lost cause. The bedding was grungy, the air conditioner was loud, and the room was just dingy in general. It had a bed and the room stayed cool at night, but the hotel certainly wasn't more than...

Absolutely rubbish hotel. At the time of check in I was handed a very worn out towel with a bar of soap. That's it. Nothing else. Bathroom was filthy and it seemed that toilet seat has not been sanitized for ages. No running hot water. For lighting in the room there were two switches for four cfl bulbs which managed to light the room for candle light dinner but nothing more. Balcony was dirty and unusable. The whole hotel was falling apart. Only thing good was that window air conditioner was new and it was cooling the room which was sized decently. I was so afraid of the sanitory conditions of the hotel that I didn't order any room service, not even...
