Hotel Grandeur — Hotel in Gujarat

This used to be the best hotel in Valsad and this was our third stay in 5 years from abroad. This time, it is evident that the hotel is not to the international standard and the rooms were in an appalling state. We were given a smaller room then originally booked as the air-con wasn't working in the other room. Then we were moved after 2 days to the other room. Both the standard and suite rooms were in a mess. Fan didn't work properly in one, toilet seat was broken, paint on walls was peeling off and too must dust as if the rooms have never been cleaned. We had to wipe clean the suite room ourselves with the towel. One good thing was that the staff did try to help but were not really bothered or really cared about how bad the state of hotel is. I guess, as visitors, especially international visitors don't have much choice in Valsad, they rely on this monopoly. Don't think we'll be staying again unless management make improvements....

Pros: The rooms are very clean and spacious, even for 4 adults Everybody working in the hotel was extremely helpful, courteous and polite It's very close to the Valsad railway station, few minutes of rickshaw or 15 mins walking There's also an elevator The restaurant food is of outstanding quality, with fine dining. One could even visit the hotel just to eat at their restaurant. No complaints regarding the facilities provided in the room. The stay was extremely comfortable!

Cons: The WiFi is pathetic and you won't even be able to send messages on WhatsApp Train noises and dogs barking at night sometimes, which can be annoying for some people

In all, I would definitely love to visit again, also for the food at the restaurant. I removed a star because of the WiFi which is the only thing they can fix in...

It’s not like that three star hotel, even not like that one star. Because 1. In the room- not hot water jug, towels are dirty and so old, pillow covers are not changed… extra extra. Hotel manager is not available at any cost but he gives directions always to counter man. Once you inter this property hotel staf thinking that the Murga Fas Gaya. I’m staying this hotel today for two days and requesting for check out at 6 pm ( my train seduced) and also want to paid for half of room rent , but the counter man claiming to full extra money as one day. I’m very disappointed because his room rent is so high like this small city As2150/- per day and same amenities available near railway station on Rs 1100/- . One cup tea rate of this...
