Hotel Somnath Sagar — Hotel in Gujarat

The positives - Excellent restaurant, very good food (even if options were limited) at very affordable cost with excellent service. would recommend the hotel if not the lodge. Location is close by to temple, railway station, bus stand and near to the highways connecting Dwarka and Ahmedabad. Rooms are spacious, ample parking right in front of hotel||||The negatives - Only 2 floors of hotel, ground floor has too much disturbance from other guests, continuous loud autos, mewing cats, hooting pigeons etc. we could not open any windows. Parking is too close to ground floor rooms' windows and hence pose a privacy and security threat. First floor, no lifts, gets too heated by mid noon. They don't accept cards. payment only in cash and should be paid completely in advance during check in! Hot water was unreliable and stopped after 8.00AM, AC had single setting, bedsheets, pillow covers, rug covers had huge stains, even changed ones were also not clean enough. Room is definitely not worth the price...

While on a brief pilgrimage I stayed with family at this Hotel from the 30th November to 3rd December. The Hotel is very near to the Somnath Railway Station. The approach road to the Hotel is narrow but the Hotel has a large open space and provides sufficient parking facility. The rooms are sufficiently large and with comfortable beds and furniture. The Restaurant offers good vegetarian breakfast ( though the food items are a few ), lunch and dinner. The food items are tasty. The Hotel management and its associated staff are cordial and cooperative. They help in arranging vehicles ( auto-rickshaws and taxis ) for sightseeing. The Hotel and its surroundings are fairly clean..The room tariff and food are moderately priced, However, the Hotel accepts payments only in CASH and the credit cards are not accepted.||Overall, Hotel Somnath Sagar provides a good, comfortable and...

This hotel does not even deserve 1 star cause the staff out here is not at all co- operative. i n my wife both visited the hotel we had taken AC room.. we had to always request them to switch on the Ac when ever we used to come from out.. when we asked them why is the Ac still not on they made excuses that there is some problem. same thing they did with hot water. at 8am we wanted to take hot water bath there was no hot water supply when we asked them what happened we need to take bath n go to the temple.. then they started the hot water one need to ask them to do things n then the work is done. its just pathetic hotel.. if we have to visit somnath Temple again we will never stay in this hotel.... if one still wants to try then its really your...
