Radhe Upavan Resort — Hotel in Gujarat

Resort is great but seems like under development. Front desk, restaurant and pool area is amazing, rest is ok.

What we found was staff is not very co-operative and polite. You feel like they are policing you more than serving you. Everything you request meets with answer NO. I booked presidential suite for my family for a night. We had two extra female guests, cousin and wife’s friend, with us when we checked-in who were planning to be with us just for few hours and then leave, not staying overnight. I called many times on numbers given on website to ask for their day use policy but noone answered. Then send WhatsApp message but over message they only confirmed reservations and did not give any yes or no answer for day use for additional guests. Again, at check-in I asked, they it is ok as long as they don’t stay in room during the day. We had lunch and then went pool, as soon as, guests changed to pool clothes security person came and said NO. I said I will pay extra if that is the case, person said NO, I first have to go to main office front desk then and then they will be allowed. Ok, I was already in pool, got out, wiped myself, put on tshirt, went to counter. How much, I should pay for day use for 2 people? Surprise, sorry sir day use is not available. Why? We are full, therefore. Now, I was pissed, we were the only family in pool literally, no one else. Near rooms, there were only couple extra cars parked other than ours. They were almost vacant, but they knew that guests were already there so they had leverage. Again, so what should I do? Sir, you have to book one extra room..ohh you just said you were full! Ok fine, how much for very standard room for 2 people? Sir 4000 rs. What? I am seeing 3100 for executive suite on Agoda. Ok booked on Agoda and showed them confirmation. Now psir you have to have them come here with their IDs, and check-in before they can use pool. Now they were already in their swim clothes. Even if they are ok to come to counter in that attire, pool guard won’t let them without changing. Finally, we managed to get two ladies to get inside pool for couple hours only to play with our kids. Very rigid to guests, especially to a family with kids they surely can accommodate more.

Evening, we went to game zone. My son was hungry. There were tables and chairs for people to sit and eat and play. I asked staff member, can we order food here from inside restaurant? NO. Why, you have eating area here? They are just like that but you can’t eat here.

Went for e-bike, only two bikes had air in wheel, others were flat and as per them resort was full ! The two with air were meant for men only. Leave it, came back.

I was supposed have minor medical treatment on checkout day. Asked front desk, what is your late checkout policy with additional payment? Sorry sir, no late checkout, you have to leave by 10 or book extra night. What? You are vacant pretty much, rooms are available online at very low price but don’t want to facilitate late checkout even if someone wants to pay extra? And literally they started asking people leave next morning with little flexibility.

One more thing, but they had construction going on and many random people and construction workers hanging out inside property. Which is okay but they were also gathering in crowd and having chit chat and fun in front of guest suites, occasionally starring at female guests which was concerning. Entrance of guest unit wings, which is way far from main office and restaurant where security is, had unrestricted keyless access to anyone. They can come upto room door.

Anyways, overall property features are good if they can improve service, not play marketing with guests and make sure outside employees and construction employees stay within...

I booked Radhe Upavan resort in June-23 in Presidential suite type room a premium category room. So my experience & your experience can be different. It was really a great experience at Radhe. -Resort is roughly 2-4km from outer of Ahmedabad Hatijan Circle on a main highway towards Nadiad. So, the place is peaceful. Room's was nice & clean. It was a specious type of room with big size bed on one side & leaving area on other side. Bathroom was big with Bathtub & it was full with various toiletries, so it will give you a premium feel. Swimming Pool: It was a decent size pool, with a separate child pool. Water was clean & ample water toys were available. So definitely you will spend good amount of time here & will enjoy. But for me disappointment was that pool was not too dip not even 6 feet on either side. So, it was a mood off for me. Amenities / game zone: Amenities were carrom, chess, table tennis, table soccer & dart. But, I feel it is resort has very limited game zone amenities. I feel it should have much more amenities. Even the dart game was not usable as dart’s magnetic points were different from its base, so dart was not usable. Also carrom was full of dust & it was a very small board. Looking at it as a facility at resort, the carrom board should be much bigger & better & it should be more than one bord. Overall resort should take care of facilities zone & should add other activities as well. Food / Peacock restaurant: Food was good at breakfast. Overall ambience & interior of restaurant is top notch. However, I don't know why I have been served doubled fried mendu vada, which was even accepted by waiter & he was even ready to change it. Overall food quality was decent, but I found options provided in (inclusive) breakfast was little bit less & they can also offer buffet. So, looking at the price charged the offering is limited. Overall Restaurant is too pricy. The big no: Resort is not provided any lunch & dinner in inclusive package, So directly indirectly you have to shell a very good amount in food. So overall this is a BIG NO for me. I would suggest that one should directly order from Zomato / Swiggy at rooms & only have a inclusive breakfast. PS: for all those who are reading till now with me. If you are going only to enjoy resort then go for a day trip instead of room booking, it is fixed for price at 1200+GST. And it includes all amenities and even breakfast, lunch, high tea & dinner. So this is very good dear. Also my room cost be Rs.4400. Overall, I would say that this is must visit resort, if you are looking for a day trip. Service & room quality is best, so...
