Lift malfunction, not safe for women & no trained staff for assistance
We stayed there for a wedding In family on the 16th of November. The lift had not been maintained. It got stuck in the evening, the electrician managed to open it in few mins. Then they confirmed that maintenance has been done & it won’t happen again. We came back from our function around 10:45-11:00 pm. My mother (age 70) & mami went with a staff to be dropped at their respective floors, it got stuck between ground & 1st floor. Me & my cousin sister asked the receptionist for help. He gave us a stapler & room card to open the lift. We kept asking him to call for help. It took him 15 mins to call an electrician. This one knew nothing about operating a lift or to correct the malfunction. The lift technician did not reach the place for help. My father called police to take care of the situation meanwhile my cousin called people from surrounding restaurants to help us open the lift. The owners (2 men) came with bouncers & started fighting with us (these two were drunk). They did not tell the staff to help or call anyone from outside who could help to open the lift. These 2 started behaving aggressively & used abusive language with my sister. When I Interfered they were abusive with me too saying things like chappal se maruga, kutti, MC, BC & more. The police & their bouncers took them out & helped them escape the place before senior police officer came in. Then another guy came and said they were my cousins & I’m the real owner. We were forced not to complain in writing to the police by the person who came saying now he’s the real owner of the place . We finally managed to open the lift with a rod that my cousin got from guard of a nearby restaurant. My mother is on oxygen & Bipap at night, she suffered brain stroke in June. Both mami & my mother had to be dragged out of the lift. They were shivering & shaken up by this incident. Who is responsible in such cases. The police that was called helped owners who misbehaved leave the building. No one gave us their names later. Which authority can I complain to without...

The washrooms are clean and hygienic so can be safely used whilst on long drives. Huge parking for busses and other vehicles. Overall happening place. Karnal Haveli, along with this entire highway stretch, is definitely worth a quality Punjabi food trip. Haveli itself has always been well known for their highway retreat dhaba/restaurant with excellent punjabi meal options and we then have Murthal for some Parantha options. Rooms were spacious but could be better maintained. Staff was excellent!
The restaurant is a neat, well maintained, cleaned and created in historical Punjab look with statues of village people that look awsome. You sometime feel that they are original live people. Now coming to washrooms they are clean hygienic and we'll maintained by staff. The small shopping centre has attractive articles to but in fast food or ice cream or beauty items. In restaurant you have ample space to sit. Staff is very prompt to take your orders and with in 10 min you get extremely tasty Punjabi style food on table. One enjoy having this food and feel like never stop. Overall a...
Read moreIt was really a bad experience on my last visit there. The worst part was the main dhaba/restaurant in the complex. The seats were so dirty that even the staff was also feeling embarrassed. I was so tired and because of that I had to sit, otherwise no one would like to sit on those dirty seats. On enquiry I was told that despite repeated complaints by customers the management was not listening. It was around 6pm and the food was totally bland and not fresh. Apart from the experience in main restaurant the complex is good and designed beautifully. It has many small outlets serving burgers, ice cream, souvenirs, aachar and local delicacies etc. There are toy rides for children...
