Black Pearl Cottages — Hotel in Himachal Pradesh

Do not judge this cute hotel by the outside. It feels like its on the market road with a few shops around, Atms but it is not noisy at all. We booked this place because of the view this hotel offers. It has huge glass windows and a balcony as well. But waking up to the view will make you forget the entrance of this hotel. You can enjoy star gazing from your room itself. we were lucky to experience the geminid meteor shower from our room lying on the bed, But we were super impressed with the food they offered. It was very tasty, a bit bigger portion size and fresh. They have a restaurant on the ground floor, where you can order and enjoy the food. They do have in room dining option as well. We mainly ordered North Indian only, but they did have other options. Loved their Tandoori Platter and stuffed parathas. ||The rooms are comfortable, enough blankets are given but heaters are also available on request with a very minimum basic fee. Lovely place, great to visit in groups as their suite is huge and very well made. It’s completely made of wood so very pleasing to the eye too.|It’s a little away from the hustle bustle of Shimla, and ahead of kufri, so you can expect the weather here to be extremely chilly during winters.|There is no market nearby so be ready to depend on the hotel itself for food. They have their own restaurant which serves amazing food - I tried fritters, chilli chicken, chilli potatoes, omlette, paranthas, dal makhni, etc. and wasn’t disappointed by any. |Receptionist is very nice and humble, checking in and out was very smooth.|No indoor private parking but they have plenty of hillside space to park cars. I visited this place during snowfall season so yes, water wasn’t available in taps as it freezes in the pipes. The staff was really nice, just one phone call and they used to send a warm bucket of water within 10minutes.|There is a temple and some small grocery shops nearby. Medical store and ATM is right...

I recently visited Kufri Hill Station with high expectations, but I must say I was quite disappointed. Unlike the charm and beauty I’ve experienced in other hill stations like Manali or Mussoorie, Kufri fell short in several aspects. The scenery and attractions were underwhelming, and it lacked the captivating allure that one seeks in a mountain getaway.

However, for those who haven’t had the opportunity to visit more renowned hill stations and reside near Chandigarh, Kufri might offer a decent escape from the daily grind at a very minimal budget. It’s conveniently located and provides a quick mountain retreat, but for seasoned travelers seeking the quintessential hill station experience, Kufri may not be the best choice.
