Gaur sons cottages — Hotel in Himachal Pradesh

Excellent place for a short halt enroute Manali. The property is magnificent & the openness is divine with it's ideal location. The Owner Mr.Ravi Gaur is extremely hospitable including all the family members & really makes you feel at home.||We got the excellent ground floor cottage with the balcony which was the USP. Could spend sitting hours there looking at the nature & hills. The caretaker boys Yedu & Yougal are helpful & hardworking.||If you wish to relax,this is ideal for you. Do not expect sightseeing trips much nearby nor any swanky accommodation status. Sanjeevji the younger brother showed us around the Orchard property & explained each farming tips with flawless indepth knowledge. ||Food was a little dissapointing-we expected better local cruising.Though it is made by the caretaker Yedu,it if slightly overrated,overpriced & lacks in quality. However all said & done the hospitality extended by the Gaur's leaves no room for complain.||Yougal the housekeeping guy also needs little supervision for cleanliness of the rooms. We stayed for 4nights & had a memorable stay there.||The is a small play courtyard where my daughter played with the Gaur kids - Dhara n Purav. Well to start of, it was completely unexpected that we would be able to make it to the vacation post several cancellation.but we finally did make it and landed up in this cottage.Its correctly said that ,this is a home away from home.Raviji, the owner, is an absolute gentleman and a very humble person.from day 1 to the end of trip , he always made sure that we were comfortable and also made last minutes arrangements whenever asked for.Thanks from the core of heart for making this trip so comfortable.And yes we also did enjoy meeting bhabiji and his lovely children.His stafs were very coordial and provided us food whenever asked for and the food was really homely,no excess oil or spice.we did love the lingari(if spelled correctly) prepared specially by bhabiji on the first day. The cottage in itself was spacious,specially the porch where we could sit and spend the whole day without even feeling the necessity to go anywhere,the view was amazing.Thanks Raviji for hosting us , it almost felt like home and also for the parting gift .hope to...

Stayed here on 7th July 2016 for a night. We came down to Manali from Leh on our bikes & wanted to avoid the hustle bustle of Manali So continued towards Kullu & on the way found this awesome cottage. Rooms are quite spacious & very well maintained. The patios are beautiful & are added bonus. There isn't much staff which is actually a plus if you are not looking for a 7 course meal. We wanted to a comfortable good night's sleep & freshly cooked decent food. The lone staff did prepare a simple but delicious dinner for us. Really enjoyed that evening.
