Neeralaya — Hotel in Himachal Pradesh

Summary: Among my visits of over 40 luxury hotels and resorts, this is the best one. The true meaning of hospitality is what you get here! If you are looking for picture perfect getaway, you just can't miss this place.

Location:

This place is situated by the beas river and has a wonderful scenic beauty for the eyes to enjoy. Films like De De pyar de, and few webseries have been shot at this property. Staff:

Hospitality is at the peak here. Managers Aashray and Geetashree were really very generous and made our stay an exciting one! The other staff, chef Rajan and Surindar ji were really cool. They would come up to our cottage and take orders that were tailor-made for us. They don't have anything ready and prepare food on demand. They have a ritual where in if you come back to your cottage, they would light the fireplace.

Room:

They have named their cottages in lines with fruits. We stayed in the Plum cottage. It was hard to complain about the room. Name the items you need and it will be ticked off your list. Electric blankets, room heaters, fireplace, refrigerator, microwave are few worth mentioning. Room service was flawless.

Food:

Well this was another surprize for us when we had no menus but a choice of whatever we want to order we could do that. All the items they prepared was tailor-made for us and the taste was awesome. I loved their apple tordy, both virgin and alcoholic. The best part is that the location of the lunch, dinner, breakfast would vary according to your choice, you could have it by the beas river with bonfire at night and in sunlight in the morning or in the music area with a nice warm fireplace or near your garden with "Sikdi" or inside your room or in the restaurant. Well this was indeed fun!

Sight seeing:

They are very receptive to your choices and Geetashree was an angel of a guide. We really enjoyed the tour with her as she explained a lot of things as the tour progressed.

After Having Our Successfull Stay At Neeralaya Earlier From Friday 3rd September 2021 To Sunday 12th September 2021 We Again Booked Neeralaya From Sunday 6th February 2022 To Thursday 10th February 2022.

On Reaching Neeralaya Homestay We Received Welcome Drink Of Home Made Plum Juice Which Was Very Very Refreshing After A Tiring Journey From Delhi To Raison By Car.

The Scenic Beauty All Around Of Beas River And Mountains Are Very Much Pleasing To The Heart And Eyes.

We Had Stayed In The Plum Villa.

All The Villas Have Been Designed In Traditional Himachal Pradesh Himalayan Style.

All The Vilas Provide Excellent Arrangements Comprising Of Fire Place With Logs Where Staff Light Up The Logs And One Feels Warm.

Then There Are Also Electronic Blankets , Heater , Warm AC To Keep Onself Warm In Winter Season.

Vilas Also Provide All The Modern Facalities Like Safe , Cupboards , Television With Set Top Box.

All The Services Provided Here Are Very Excellent.

One Day We Were Also Served Very Very Tasty Local Food Of Himachal Pradesh In Dining Area.

All The Staff Working Here Make Up A Great Neeralaya Family And Are Humble , Nice And Helpful And Always Greet Us With A Smiling Face.

In Short We Can Say Without Hesistation That Our 2nd Stay At The Neeralaya Homestay Has Also Been Very Comfortable , Enjoyable And Memorable Experience.

I had visited Neeralaya with a couple of friends in 2019 and have been thinking of coming back here since then. I finally got a chance to visit this month (Dec 2024) before the Christmas break and my family loved the experience of staying here. ||We booked two rooms in a cottage - the ground floor one was called Cherry and the one on the first floor was called Strawberry. My parents had mobility issues so they stayed in Cherry. I along with my wife & kids stayed in Strawberry.||Both the rooms are done up really well and give you a nice Himachali feel. My kids(especially) loved the attic in the Strawberry room & spent a lot of time there. Both the rooms were spacious, clean and extremely welcoming. The ground floor room opened up to a beautiful garden and the room on the first floor had a beautiful balcony with views of the garden and the river. The bathrooms are nice and big with hot water running all day. ||A special shoutout for the people who manage this place. The place is what it is because of them. They are doing an absolutely fabulous job.||I would like to mention that during the trip, my mother fell sick and we had to take her to a hospital in Kullu twice (15Kms away). But Mr. Suri(the owner) ensured that one of his very able team members (Rakesh) went with us on both occasions to the hospital to ensure that we don’t face any trouble and are attended well.||I would like to also mention about Ms.Sonia and Ms. Jyotsana who helped us in finalising the right rooms for my family. I have previously stayed in the Walnut room but the experience of staying in Strawberry room has been one of the highlights of the trip as my kids were the happiest there. Also a special mention for Aunty who has the most beautiful smile and manages the breakfast by the river.
