This hotel is situated just 2 km from the Bhuntar airport and amidst the bustling market of Shamsi Kullu which reduces the travel expenses if you are travelling through Kullu kasol area. The check in was smooth and the hotel staff is courteous and prompt in helping with anything required by the client. The cabs for local travel are booked by request through the hotel staff as they are under local cab union or at least that’s what I experienced. The rooms are spacious and clean and the food is excellent. Special mention goes to Mr. Jhabe Ram who by playing his bansuri in morning and evening keeps the atmosphere melodious and comforting.
Now to the aspects where the hotel could improve is the cleanliness of linen provided which I found to be wanting. Though by request the linen was changed and the housekeeping staff do change the linen everyday depending upon the client’s will. However I believe it shouldn’t come to the notice of clients that the linen needs to be clean before usage and courtesy the pandemic times that we are still going through, cleanliness of the room and the bed should be unequivocally the first priority and shouldn’t deserve a special request.
Second, I was a bit surprised to notice that a 3 storied resort failed to install a lift, because for a specially abled client, having to climb 3 flight of stairs all the time isn’t comfortable by any means, and though the staff arranged to shift our room to second floor, it couldn’t have made a very significant difference nonetheless.
Room service was promptly available however the intercom was dysfunctional and we were provided individual numbers for reception and food and beverages. The only downside being that sometimes a specific person is not on duty and when you do place a call, it only amounts to a bit of a disturbance to that person. In the morning the room service can be a bit slow however.
Coming to food provided by the hotel, I must mention it was great and I did almost try all the dishes in breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am attaching the food pics too because we felt such comfort ordering from our rooms and we didn’t feel the need to have our dinner outside as long as we stayed there.
Overall we had an amazing stay at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone who would be visiting Kullu in the near...
Read moreOne of the best hotel around the area, JJ by Vivaan Resorts is a recommended stay option near Bhuntar. The area around is good and easily accessible. Since Bhuntar is the place connecting most of the tourist destination such as Manali, Kasol, Thirthan Valley etc, staying at Bhuntar is a good choice for the tourist. Not so far from main road, this place is calm and provides a good package. Overall the sight of the hotel attracts anyone passing by. The wooden touch is amazing, giving it a luxurious feeling. There is adequate parking space. The road running through is front is not so congested and does not disturb your stay. Staffs are very friendly. They help you throughout your stay. Room service is also good. The restaurant on the ground floor is good. Although owing to demand, some items me be missed out. There is a game room, which was cool. Couples or family and friends will find it a good place to spends some quality time. There is no any type of restriction for the use of game room. Family room is available. TV was having some problem during our visit. The early morning view from the room was amazing. Business, vacation, couples and family, it goes with any type of travellers apart from being solo. The stay is mostly enjoyed in a company. One major drawback is the absence of a lift. Access to the topmost floor was difficult. Apthough luggage was carried by the staff, some people may find discomfort. Overall, its a nice stay option. Highly...
Read moreWe took the mandi bajaura road as gps showed that to be the fastest - was a total nightmare as it's a road which is so thin that its difficult even for 2 cars to pass together on that lane. Also, very risky in night and very time consuming - guys avoid this at all cost and strictly use the other route the buses ply. Reached jj vivaan at around 7pm and went to the suite which was very well kept. The staff seemed quite helpful and efficient. Best part of the stay was the food - we went to the restaurant hoping for a buffet since we had booked on map plan but since number of guests were fewer, they didn't have a buffet and gave us option of selecting from the menu. We ordered a few different things and each of it was made to perfection and qty of fish curry was so much that it's not possible for one person to finish it alone. Breakfast next day was also excellent with a rich variety. The view from the suite cannot be compared to manali but living in a concrete jungle, you would still enjoy the mountains when u open the curtains. We went to bed early but they also did bonfire for other guests. Overall this is the best place to stay in...
