We came to hotel Sandhya Palace, Shamshi searching for a relaxing place after traveling for a full day from Manali and then Manikaran. We got a good deal at Rs. 3000 for a family room consisting of two portions with one double bead and one TV in each portion. Both TV's were LED, however, there were very few channels and signal quality was poor. But we were not much interested in watching TV so it was not a big issue. The washroom was spacious, with two big clean spotless towels. However, there were no complimentary water bottles or tea bags etc. The beds were very comfortable though and there was a partition between the rooms for privacy. Bedsheets and blankets were very good, clean and spotless. Hotel restaurant was bit costly, so we didn't try it. There were not much options for dining near to the hotel, but we got one dhaba and are there. The hotel is located near to the river, at 400 m distance. Overall experience was good. We had good sleep and it was value...
Read moreDuring my stay at Hotel Sandhya Palace, I found it to be a comfortable and scenic mid‑range option nestled in the beautiful Kullu Valley. The rooms were spacious, clean, and offered lovely valley views. The multi‑cuisine restaurant served enjoyable meals—from tasty North Indian dishes to pizza and wings in Oliver’s Café . The staff was mostly friendly and accommodating, and the location just half a kilometer from Bhuntar Airport makes it very convenient . However, a few guests noted that some rooms feel a bit outdated, and occasional delays in room service and minor maintenance issues were reported . Overall, it’s a solid pick for travelers seeking decent value, good food, and easy access to local hotspots—even if it doesn’t quite match...

The restaurant is very small and in that too they have kept a children's play area which is very noisy with young parents preferring to leave their babies for screaming, shouting and what not, giving a very unpleasant experience to others. It feels as if you are not sitting in a restaurant but a creche. The chairs are also very uncomfortable to sit with it's back plumb straight and without any cushion. Still overall, I am giving it a 3 star only for it's polite staff and food which is better than most...
