Kasauli Hills Resort - Best Luxury Resort and Hotel — Hotel in Himachal Pradesh

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Kasauli Hill Resorts, and I must say that it was one of the most disappointing and frustrating stays I have ever had. The issues I encountered during my stay were not only numerous but also magnified by the lack of resolution and the unresponsive attitude of the hotel staff.

From the moment I arrived, it was evident that the hotel had serious maintenance issues. The toilet flush in my room was not working and emitted a continuous unpleasant odor, making it nearly impossible to use the facilities comfortably. Several lights in the room were fused, resulting in a dimly lit and unwelcoming atmosphere. Adding to the inconvenience, the Wi-Fi was consistently unreliable and the room's television set was non-functional.

Throughout my stay, I made multiple complaints to the hotel staff, hoping for some sort of resolution. However, my concerns fell on deaf ears. The staff showed a complete lack of professionalism and urgency in addressing the issues. To make matters worse, when I asked to register my complaints or provide feedback, I was informed that no such register existed. It was evident that the hotel lacked a proper system for recording and addressing guest complaints, raising serious doubts about their commitment to guest satisfaction.

Perhaps the most distressing incident occurred on the last day of my stay. I lost a valuable gold and diamond bracelet in the dining room area. Despite seeking assistance from the reception, manager, and other staff members, no one showed any interest or willingness to help. It was as if they were deliberately avoiding any involvement in the matter. This complete disregard for a guest's distress and loss is absolutely unacceptable.

Considering the magnitude of the issues I faced and the hotel's lack of responsiveness and accountability, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Kasauli Hill Resorts to anyone. It is evident that they prioritize profit over guest satisfaction and fail to uphold basic standards of service and maintenance. The unprofessional behavior of the staff, the absence of any resolution for the issues faced, and the denial of a complaint register are all clear indications of the hotel's lack of commitment to guest welfare.

My advice to fellow travelers would be to avoid Kasauli Hill Resorts at all costs. There are numerous other accommodation options in the area that value their guests and strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Choose wisely and spare yourself the disappointment and frustration that I endured during my stay at this...

Even if property is good and beautiful but if there is lack of respect for guests, doesn't matter if it is a 5 star or a luxurious property. Checked in to this property today with family including 2 kids and a senior citizen. Booked 3 rooms (including a cottage 107). Heavy rains in the evening brought down temp to very low. As we are staying for a day only, we wanted to explore the property and didn't want to have dinner in the room. I was told we could have our dinner in the bar as open area was very cold for kids. In the bar, we were told plainly by bar staff we cannot sit there for dinner as their bar guests would be impacted and that too when there was only one table occupied by 3 people having drinks. We said we were sitting there for 10-15 min discussing menu and they should have told this earlier and the reply was that as I was looking at drinks menu so they thought we will order a few drinks too. If not, then we can't have dinner in bar area.

Now we are having dinner in this enclosed area (see pic)... This is part of restt but it doesn't even look like a restt. Look at pillows in the background. And if you don't like this area then probably have dinner in your room if it is cold outside as they won't allow you in the bar (if you don't order drinks along with dinner).

Earlier, had to request multiple times to get the tea cups cleared from the room, also had to request twice for getting toilet flush tank problem fixed.

Only getting extra beds in time was the positive point. And restt service was ok as well. I was offered complimentary desserts after dinner which I refused and instead paid for it as it would have diluted my honest feedback.

I stayed at Manu Maharani resort in Jim Corbett last year at prices lower than this where all three meals (outstanding meals I should say) were included and service was top class. But this stay at Kasauli Hills resort is a big disappointment for me and my family especially when I literally forced my sister's family to come along after I saw reviews of OTA expert on YT. But I forgot that reviewers generally get freebies and good service so eventual reviews may prove to be misleading as happened with me. May be, mine is a one off case and others might be getting good treatment. Anyways, we are now planning to checkout early tomorrow morning after breakfast as mood is completely spolied by dinner time events.

With not so much...

1. Only positive thing is room is good and clean. But don't have mobile charging point near bed. So you need to put your mobile far away from bed and move everytime you need your mobile. Atleast give mobile charging point beside the bed.

2. some of the automatic controls not working properly. Like when I switched on hanging lights, curtains open automatically at the same time.

3. Biggest drawback is their food. This resort is very far away from any local market. So, you have to eat food within this resort only and food is very costly here. They have done that on purpose. They all are money minded people. Even a small sandwich cost around 360-450₹. Apart from that taste is very average here. Everything cost more than 400₹ here. Even after paying that much they won't provide salad with food. You need to pay for salad which tells you how money minded they are. Please don't book room in this resort if you want to enjoy good food and good stay.

4. No food option is there. Despite of having high food prices and very average taste, food options are very less. Everything is so costly here. Seems like they have done that on purpose. Please don't go for those fake YouTube paid reviews. All of them are paid and doesn't show clear picture of the resort.

5. Resort is very well maintained and relaxing but not in the night. From evening only they play loud music, so all those crowds and people make surrounding very noisy. Because of their bar, people were smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol. Not a suitable condition for your family. You will not get any peace of mind from evening only.

6. They are money minded. Bring your own vehicle if you want to stay here. We didn't have our own car. We want to travel the mall road which is around 8-9 kms from this resort. Hotel staff give us the contact of one cab driver which was asking around 1200₹. Imagine you have to pay 1200₹ just for 8-9 kms of travel. So, we contacted some local cab service for which we pay around 700₹. We don't have any option and have to pay 700₹ atleast better than 1200₹.

7. please please don't go for these paid youtubers review. They all are paid and fake. Food is not good and very average. Too noisy and loud from evening only. Far away from mall road, you will face many problems of you don't have...
