Let me first get the ambience point out of the way by saying the place nailed it. It's a beautiful place that looks exactly like the pictures would suggest.

Now coming to the things I didn't like. Everything else. Went there after a Saturday ride with a buddy of mine after a friend recommended the place. The first interaction you'll have with the place is with the security/parking assistance of the place. The old guy wasn't rude by any means but he basically told us that if you do not have a reservation you won't get a place to sit (this was afternoon btw). We insisted on at least checking the place out, to which he replied "as long as you come back right after looking around".

I should also mention that we were wearing our riding gear and weren't particularly dressed as the other people around us were.

Moving on we went down to the brewery, saw the place and decided to ask the attending to free us a table to which he proceeds to look around and simply shrug at us. We pointed him to a table that was actually free but had empty glasses from the previous occupants. He asked us to take the seat and then went away. Oh and by the way, at this point the place wasn't bustling with customers either, the waiting staff was relatively free but didn't bother tending to us. We had to repeatedly ask the guy close to us to clear the table to which he then proceeded to pick the glasses up, but didn't bother wiping the table off. After that we waited for another 10 minutes for a menu to arrive but it never did. We asked two different attendings to provide us with one, but they simply nodded at us and moved on with their important looking around business. After waiting another 10 minutes we decided we realised we weren't hip enough for the place and decided to leave. 10/10 the worst experience in kasauli I've ever had.

Birthday celebrations ended on a sour note. We got there at 1pm on Sunday. As soon as we sat we ordered the cake(as per their suggestion when making the booking. Saying it would take about 45mins to an hour for the cake. Between 4 adults and one kid, the industry standard is to provide atleast sets of menus at the table. Got just one had to ask 2 times for another menu set. Ordered our starters and drinks, then the mains after a while. At about 3pm when the restaurant started getting busy. We asked for the cake to be brought out and the table to be cleared. At 3:30pm still waiting for the cake which was ordered 2hrs ago we ordered for an espresso and a macchiato and reminded them to clear the table and bring us the cake. At 4pm still with a messy table no coffee and no cake we asked for the cheque and to cancel the cake and coffees. 4:15 the cake arrives on a still messy table, cake was placed with candles and a lighter in a plate with wooden cutlery and no extra plates. Then finally came the coffees, a macchiato and an Americano…..and the waiter is arguing with me that the Americano is an espresso. The manager confirmed that it was an Americano, I asked to train the staff on the coffees. It’s such a shame that the level of service can’t do justice to the kind of place they have. Thai red curry is no where near what a Thai red curry should be like. Pizza is good! The singer was very nice.
