Dually check before checking in at the all facilities available and all your stuff before checking out.I stayed there on jan 2023 at fare @Rs1300 per day on room no 104. (They quoted Rs 2000/day , I bargained to Rs 1300/day) for a couple. Hotel is Located just in the centre of pahalgam main market so from the point of connectivity it's best. Since it's very cold place & the water will become snow so water supply doesn't work although wash basin and geyser is provided it's useless. Service guy will provide you the required water from bucket manually, so there will be scarcity of water availability .Since geyser don't work without water supply hence they provide immersion rod to heat water. For me this was an disaster as they have provided me faulty immersion rod and when I have raised complaint about it they said its not working due to low voltage and soon will work & thats how they have consumed my whole 2 day but that immersion rod didn't work at all and I have to manage with chilly cold water ( they only provided total 2 buckets of hot water manually for 2 person in morning for freshenup and everything, which was not enough for two person & time consuming) .For this I am very disappointed as my neighbors rooms immersion rod was properly working when I have asked them and they were just fooling me. Although Electric blanket and heater was working fine so that's a relief. The service guy has taken my room keys for cleaning while I was leaving for my tour and assured me that my things will be safe but with cleaning he has thrown my tripod pouch , for which I have to suffer as now tripod parts cant be packed at same place and neither did he compensate anything for it instead demand tip for me. Electric failure is a very common thing in pahalgam so be ready for it however they have inverter and generator but only essential services can be accessed with it like light ,fan .Note- room heater and electric blanket etc are strictly prohibited with generator ans inverter. The room had market view. Overall best for connectivity & good if I you are cautious enough with the service...
Read moreMy recent stay at Hotel Palestine in Pahalgam left much to be desired. The TV in the room was disappointingly small, measuring only 13-14 inches, making it hard to enjoy any leisurely TV time. The bathroom was another issue, being small and lacking an exhaust system, which could lead to discomfort during use.
One concerning aspect was the bathroom window, which opened into the room, compromising privacy and ventilation. I was surprised to find no water bottles in the room, which is a basic amenity expected in most hotels.
Furthermore, the hotel failed to provide the WiFi password, leaving guests disconnected during their stay. Even though I paid a substantial 2000 rupees per night, there were no complimentary tea or coffee options available, which I consider a standard offering in most hotels.
While the hotel's location might have some appeal, these shortcomings in basic amenities and services made my stay less than...
Read moreYou can blindly book this hotel for your future travel. The best part is the location of the hotel. It is exactly beside the main taxi stand/horse stand of pahalgham. which means that whether you are travelling solo or with family, the street here is buzzing with life almost upto 9 pm which is not the case in other hotel locations in pahalgham. Also if you are a pure vegetarian, the pure veg food joints are right across the street. Secondly the host Nisar Wani and the staff here are like gems. They will make you feel at home as they live together like a family. I was a female solo traveller and was overwhelmed by their hospitality as well as their negotiating/bargaining skills (they bargained with the horse guy on my behalf ) . Also as a cherry on cake- i got the room at a super affordable price. The third best thing was 24/7 hot water and you will not have to wait even for a minute for the geyser to heat up the...
