The Riverfront Luxury Cottages — Hotel in Jammu and Kashmir

We were promised rooms in a single cottage. However, since they got another booking from someone else, our rooms were given to other guest and we were dumped in community proporty with community dining and kitchen area. The rooms were not even close to what was shown in pictues. When we asked for refund we were asked to check out. Leaving us no where to go, we agreed to stay for the night on the condition that the dinner hall will not be used after 10 pm. Our old age parents are not able to sleep since the staff here refuses to stop dinner service till 11 pm. The owner, staff, agent all were missing and refused to pick our phone to resolve the matter. The entire holiday experience has been screwed because of the rude behaviour of the propoerty. Would like to highlight inapproriate behavior of Md. Rafiq who has been appointed by the owner as an epitomy of cheaters and liars. When we were taking pictures and making videos, he has created a ruckus on that too. md rafig went to the extent of man handling us when we wanted to leave. No help was offered with luggage. The pictures don’t present the real condition of the place you will live in. The view from the common garden is great but other than that everything from the staff service to the size of the rooms and the best part the location of the rooms is laughable. ||We had booked 3 rooms, all of them were assigned to us in a villa which houses their common dining hall and to top it all THEIR KITCHEN which is used to cook and serve food to families in all the villas. The best part is that my elderly parents were assigned a room which was less than a foot away from the kitchen. All the helpers in the kitchen keep screaming at each other and the kitchen door is slammed every 5 mins. I don’t think this is the experience anyone is looking for on a holiday.||On insisting that these kind of conditions are unacceptable , we were told that we need to adjust!!!! In the beginning, we were also doubtful after reading the reviews and to see the entry of the property by Tempo traveller. Property is just next to the flowing river which is the best point to stay in that property. Yes this is 5 km before the Pahalgam main city and mall road but that is not a problem if you have a car or taxi with you. Infact you can keep yourself away from the crowd and pollution. Staff is very hospitable and ready to help. Mr. Mohammad Rafi and his team is very helpful and trying to make your stay memorable. Yes this is a small cottage property, please do not expect the services like 4/5 star hotel. Food was very tasty in our two nights stay.
