The property is beautiful. Everyone from my group liked the ambience but service and behaviour of the hotel manager and staff was not good.

I think they favour foreign tourists more than the domestic ones. I know it’s natural for anybody to favour foreign guests more but the discrimination was way too high for my liking. I can give multiple examples where we faced discrimination.

  1. We are a bunch of non-drinkers and non-smokers (a rarity in today’s world). We were enjoying in their swimming pool and I believe when you are enjoying in the pool the decibel level of voices would be higher than normal. For this very reason the elderly person from hotel management literally scolded us twice. After seeing that, we had to stop the swimming pool session and had to go back to our rooms. Everyone from my group felt, that was disrespectful of your guests.
  2. When other tourists (including other Indian guests) came, everyone from the hotel staff went to welcome them, offered them welcome drinks and literally carried their luggage to their respective rooms. Same actually happened when they left. When it was our turn, nobody even cared for all these things. I had to call the hotel staff on my own, had to request them for a room for us to get fresh and keep our luggage in. Same story when we checked out from the hotel. I think for the money we had spent we at least deserve some respect from the hotel staff.
  3. We had to request for basic amenities like extra towels, extra bed, extra pillow and so on. That too multiple times until the request is honored. This literally made my group suffer in 10 degree celcius cold.
  4. Coming to the hotel restaurant now, we were not allowed to seat on the centre tables. We were told they were only reserved for other guests. Once we were seating on a corner table and one of the staff member came and literally shouted on us and asked us to shift to other table. I thought me and my group handled the situation calmly and hence there was no unwelcoming situation. The quality of the food, especially during dinner time was very poor. Not sure if that was done deliberately for our group to suffer even more.

These are some of the main reasons along with small reasons which obviously I cannot type here, all made our stay in Jodhpur very unwelcoming, disrespectful and overall very...

I stayed here during my visit to Jodhpur in Dec 23 with my family.

It is a very nice property. Very lush and green inside. The rooms and washrooms were spotless. The bed was comfortable and room service was also great. Breakfast and food was delicious except veg biryani (It was delicious but it did not taste like veg biryani 😅)

In the evening there was a fire on metal fireplace in the dining area outside everyday which created a very good mood and kept us warm as we enjoyed our dinner.

The staff was courteous. The tea was delicious. We once asked for an Iron and they sent it and my mom once asked for a drying rack and they provided one 😅

Mandore gardens are nearby at walkable distance and we enjoyed an evening here with laser show. Later walked to guest house.

This place is however far from Railway station. We booked an auto as we couldn't find a cab late in the night. The auto guy kept pitching me a hotel near station. On the way my mom was also complaining as it seemed were heading into nowhere. Rest assured once we reached property our fears were assuaged. Once my mom saw the property she was happy too 😃.

That said if you are travelling especially with family and staying here then you need to have travel figured out if arriving late. It was a bit scary travelling with family on deserted roads late night 😅 .

Location is not an issue if you'll be back till 21:00 because on subsequent days we came around that time and the place and markets nearby were hustling and bustling with activity.

So for location I'll give it 4 stars. Everything else deserves a 5 out of 5 star from me. Would love...

We were visiting Jodhpur and booked Mandore Guest Hous looking at the good reviews in TripAdvisor. But it turned out to be a bad decision.

The resort is too nice is for them who look for peace. I believe foreigners will find this hotel more suitable.

The check was ok and room was given in about 10 minutes. The rooms were clean and so was the hotel.

The things that annoyed us while at the hotel was,

Right after check in we found that there was no towels in room. There is no phone inside room so I went out to reception and guess what nobody in reception! I wandered the whole guest house area to find a guy responsible only to find a guy inside the kitchen of the restaurant.

No internet connectivity. On asking, we were given WiFi password but internet connectivity was not available at room. I believe the internet was not working at all.

3.The most frustrating thing - It was a Vegetarian Guest house! I couldn't believe after I checked in it turned out to be vegetarian. We being non vegetarian couldn't cope with that. There are no good restaurants nearby and had to walk so long to get some non vegetarian food.

No room service - They have partial room service. They only allow snacks to room.

No proper response from reception - I tried to book a cab to roam around Jodhpur for sight seeing. I was told that they will get back to me but they never did.

In my view, go for this hotel if you are vegetarian and want some peace of mind. Otherwise better dont even...

Mandore Guest House is an experience, not just a stay! Surrounded by nature, the property is filled with different trees and beautiful plants, creating a tranquil environment. The rooms are incredibly spacious and luxurious, providing the perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The food here is fantastic, especially the breakfast spread, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The hospitality deserves a special mention—Girdhari Ji and the entire team made us feel so welcomed with their warmth and care. We arrived late on our first day, and although the swimming pool usually closes around 8 PM, they offered to keep it open until 10 PM for us, which we really appreciated. We had an amazing time in the pool! A few minor suggestions (and I'm just nitpicking here) would be to have mini fridges in all rooms, improve the Wi-Fi connectivity, and maybe add some incense sticks or air fresheners around the property to enhance the vibe. The intercom in our room wasn’t working, but that didn’t affect our overall amazing experience. We loved our stay and will definitely visit again! Highly recommend this gem of a place.

This is a pretty good property to stay in. We have spent 2 nights at rooms 101 n 102. The overall ambience is very good. The proprietor is friendly and so are all the staff. All the basic amenities (including geyser) are covered and historical ruins of Mandore fort is a mere 10 minutes away. In fact you can catch the silhouette of the ruins from the rooftop. I would definitely recommend this property to fellow travellers, but would remind them that the distance from proper jodhpur is approximately 5 km. So if you are reaching Jodhpur by bus/train at night, it might be tad difficult to arrange transport. Also, the property only serves vegetarian food and eggs are prepared on request. This was not a deal breaker for us and the food was very well prepared indeed. My only request to the proprietor would be to provide a Rack or Cupboard inside rooms to keep clothes on/in. Keeping clothes on the back of chair is not a good substitute, neither is opening heavy luggage repeatedly to get trivial things like socks.
