Our stay at the Blue Eye Coastal House in Yermal, Padubidri was nothing short of exceptional! We were two families with four kids, and this property turned out to be the perfect getaway for all of us.

The house itself is spacious, covering nearly 20,000 square feet, and features two air-conditioned bedrooms with attached baths, a common entrance, and a fantastic family sit-out porch. The highlight of our evenings was gathering around the cozy campfire, playing family games, and enjoying the serene ambiance of this private haven.

The location is a dream come true for beach lovers. The house is right on the beach, offering complete privacy with no tourists in sight. Our kids had the time of their lives, spending hours playing on the beach—three hours every morning and evening. It was pure joy to see them so happy and engaged.

The hospitality was top-notch. Mr. Sumanth, the host, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Not only was the house immaculately clean, neat, and well-maintained, but he also helped us plan our temple visits during the sunny afternoons, which added a cultural touch to our trip.

The authentic Tulunadu Udupi-style vegetarian breakfast was a culinary delight—fresh, sumptuous, and bursting with local flavors. It truly added to the authentic coastal experience.

The little details like the swing under the tree, the calming sea breeze, and the peaceful surroundings made our stay incredibly relaxing. With beachfront access, a fully-equipped kitchen, WiFi, a dedicated workspace, and free parking, the property had everything we needed and more.

With the advice of Mr. Sumanth, we had the privilege of attending the Harake Nemostsava Būta Kōlā at Yermala village, a sacred ritual of spirit worship deeply rooted in the traditions of Tulunadu, the coastal region of Karnataka.

Blue Eye Guesthouse is the perfect spot for both short and long stays. Its prime location right by the beach makes it an ideal destination to unwind. The ambiance of the place is a unique blend of calming and trippy vibes, which adds to its charm.

What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional hospitality of the owner, Sumanth Sir. He’s a host like no other, with a knack for storytelling and a witty personality that makes every conversation delightful. During our stay, he graciously invited us to experience the Village Kola festival, personally guided us there, and shared fascinating stories along the way. He recommended Dolphin watching trip and it was great.

He also recommended one of the best nearby restaurants, where we indulged in some amazing food. Adding to the experience, we celebrated New Year’s at the guesthouse, and on the morning of January 1st, Sumanth Sir surprised us with a delicious cake to start the year on a sweet note.
