On the eve of Diwali, we went to Badami. Booked over phone at Cave View Home Stay in Badami. Mr.Kiran is the owner. A little bit about home stay
First floor has two double bed rooms, large hall, dining table, kitchen, fridge, oven etc. and common bathroom, one outside Indian toilet, terrace. Such an entire floor can be used for βΉ.4000- (for one day). We stayed for two days, our bill came to βΉ.8700 excluding GST. Extra bed is βΉ.700-. But the extra bed provided was just a joke. It was a very thin, ordinary bed and βΉ.700 was too much for it.
Cleanliness is good in the villa. Water supply is good. Both geyser and solar water are available for hot water. Tea, coffee provided by Mr. Kiran on demand with extra cost. They live on the floor below.
We kept the induction grill with its utensils and all the preparations for tea and coffee, bought milk from Badami and made tea and coffee as often as we wanted.
Some points for improvement about the home stay A drinking water Aaro machine is placed in the house of the owners on the ground floor below. If you want drinking water every time, you have to tell or call Mr. Kiran.
Also, Lots of wild acacia trees are growing around the villa. In winter and rainy season, the house is filled with many different kinds of insects, mosquitoes. Living at home was very difficult. Owners need to do something about this.
Also, it is very difficult to find the home stay from the main road. The road to and from is unpaved and surrounded by potholes, mud, and stones. We stayed there for two nights, but took a different road each time to reach the stay. The exact road has not been found. It is very difficult to come after seeing the site, so it is very difficult at night.
Named Cave View Home Stay but the caves are visible far above. You can see the mountain of cave. If you have binoculars, you can see the Shiva temple.
Overall the home stay is good but after 6 pm one has to endure with only different types of insects.
The car is parked on the street, there is no protection from rain, sun.
That was a bungalows society, may be after two to three years the stay will be more...

We recently stayed at Cave View Homestay in Badami, and it was a pleasant experience. The homestay is located in a convenient location, just a short distance from the Badami caves and the market area. The property itself is well-maintained and clean, with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, and a terrace. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with comfortable beds and linens.
The hosts, Kiran and Shweta, were very welcoming and hospitable. They were always available to answer our questions and provide recommendations for things to do and places to eat.
