Coqueiros Beach Cottages — Hotel in Karnataka

This is a property on the Kodi beach road, 3-4 kms from the Delta point, where multiple rivers meet the Arabian sea. The awesome thing is the location, with the beach just across the road from the cottage. The beach itself is somewhat narrow, but clean and excellent for wading into the water. We had a lot of fun spending time in the water in the pleasant December weather. Not much crowd at the beach either as it is a very long stretch, all easily accessible from the beach road. There were no commercial activities of any kind on the beach other than a sweet corn vendor, which meant the beach was largely clean and quiet. ||The property itself has only a few rooms (maybe 5-6) and around 10 independent wooden cottages, so you are not likely to see large crowds. We stayed in one of the cottages. The cottage was smallish but functional. The nice thing was that it had a private balcony with a good view of the sea and in the evening time you also get good sea breeze while sitting there. The bed was king size and comfortable. Wifi coverage was good, but little else to do on the property itself. There are open spaces for kids to run around or for outdoor play, but no play facilities provided by the resort.||The price was reasonable, given that we stayed between Christmas and New Year. ||The food was good overall. The breakfast spread was decent with fresh cooked hot masala dosas, buns and other local varieties and the taste was consistently good across all meals. The owner, manager and other staff were friendly and offered good suggestions on places to visit in the neighbourhood. ||There is enough scope for the property to add more activities on the premises to keep guests entertained and to also add more rooms. But the main reason one would pick this property is for the beach experience, which was excellent, so I am going with 4 stars...

I recently spent two nights at Coqueiros Beach Cottages in Udupi, and my stay was a mix of positives and negatives.

Starting with the positives, the location of the cottages is undoubtedly their strongest point. Being right opposite the beach provides a stunning view from the rooms, creating a serene and pleasant atmosphere.

The rooms themselves were generally comfortable, providing a decent space to unwind. However, there were some drawbacks. The pillows provided were unusually hard, affecting the overall quality of sleep. Additionally, the maintenance of the toilets left much to be desired. It was disappointing to find that this aspect did not meet expectations.

Another significant issue was the water supply. The flow from the taps was so thin that it took an astonishing 20 minutes to fill a bucket. This inconvenience significantly impacted the overall convenience and functionality of the stay.

The food provided by Coqueiros Beach Cottages was just about average. While it was edible, it didn't exceed expectations, and I found myself having to manage with what was offered. This could be an area for improvement to enhance the overall guest experience.

Despite these drawbacks, the staff were generally polite and responsive to queries and requests. Their hospitality added a positive note to the stay, making...

Wonderful Stay @ Coqueiros !!

I visited this place as part of a team outing(28 people) and will try to provide details about different aspects.

Location !! This place is located at a distance of 3kms from the highway. The leading road is narrow but buses can manage. As the name suggests its located just opposite the Beach. you step out of the resort and you are in the Beach.

Rooms !!

They have cottages which can accommodate 2,4 & 7 people too. You can book a room based on your requirement. They rooms were spacious with all required things (TV, Refrigerator,AC, Toiletries, Geyser etc etc) All the Rooms have a kind balcony which are beach facing.

Food !!

They serve Food right on time and with good variety. They served Neer Dosa/Mushroom Curry (Mangalore Special) for the dinner and it was very tasty.

Other Facilities !!

They have Carom and a cricket set. They can setup a campfire if its not raining. Then u have the beach just opposite the resort where u can spend good amount of time.
