Dandeli Jungle Resort — Hotel in Karnataka

In Dandeli and Ganeshgudi, all stays offer water activities packages. They will all guide or outsource the tourists to places such as aqua woods, and the overcrowding is just annoying. Pathetic, just like an overcrowded taluk office.

Be prepared to Find a huge crowd around the office. As though they're distributing free LPG cylinders.

They offer activities like short rafting, kayaking, zipline, zorbing, etc

Zipline will drop you on Kali river.

Zipline took 2 hours waiting time. Could you believe it?There was an unfortunate scene when the tempers flared and the zipline operators began exchanging blows. Was a nightmare because our lives were in their hands, and here they are, behaving like children.

Total confusion due to shortage of life jackets. Be prepared to watch people losing all niceties and begging and fighting with others for jackets.

Also be prepared for the staff treating the customers rudely As though we are doing those activities for free through a charity. I gave away my jacket to a pleading group, only to find all the people grabbing for it, losing all manners. It was like people grabbing food packets during famine. When I requested for a new jacket from the staff, all I got was a nasty lecture and a rude retort on why I shouldn't have shared my life jacket to a customer whose ride was due before me. Unbelievable!!

Not worth doing any water activity other than zipline and you can skip all other nonsense activities- particularly the short rafting and boating. They are just time wasters and irritating.

The staff have absolutely no clue on how to handle a crowd. It was complete pandemonium.

You can directly book whitewater rafting from Jungle lodges which will be astonishingly good, I promise. Jungle lodges offer 11km rafting for 1350 rupees while the short 1 km rafting offered by the private water activities centers are plain stupid.

As owners suggest, it's your own bungalow amidst lush green vegetation. Mr. Vaibhav and Mrs. Rupali Kamath are hosts of this lovely property, a hidden jem. We booked three cottages for three nights.|If you are looking for a relaxed time and do nothing, this property is for you.|If you are looking for a home cooked, organic, no frills food (that does not upset your tummy), this property is for you.|If you are naturalist, this is definitely for you.|If you are bird watcher and/or wildlife enthusiast, this property is for you.|Mr Kamath himself is avid naturalist/bird watcher/wildlife enthusiast. You can enjoy long discussion and knowledge exchange with him. Being lived their for a more than a decade, he knows that region as back of his hand. He will help/suggest you plan your itinerary to explore the surrounding region.|If you don't want to do anything, just relax and enjoy homely cooked food.||What not to expect- Here you are treated as member of family and not customer. Hence do not expect typical resort like service on call. Hello viewers - me and my husband were looking for a weekend outing and thought of Dandeli. I just found this site in google and got in touch with Yusuf Bhai - trust me friends, he is your one stop solution if you as a couple or a family or friends, planning for a trip to Dandeli. Just got to mention your budget and everything is organised by him. A very genuine guy and reasonable in his suggestions. The place he offered us was awesome, both in terms of cost as well as beauty and cleanliness. Apart from being at a great location, the entire staff, food and above all, the staff service was just awesome. There is so much greenery in the resort that your really enjoy being amidst jungle. Great swimming pool plus an awesome pond for kayaking, Burma bridge, coracle ride and other water activities - kids will certainly have a great time. Bon fire and music was too good as well. All in all, a great great experience - Would love to visit again for sure. Thanks Yusuf Bhai for giving us such wonderful memories to cherish and going out of the way in helping us, right from guiding us to the resort during arrival, accompanying us to the water rafting place and dropping us back till the highway so that we could easily find our way back home.
