Best Jungle Lodge Ever!! Honestly, we had booked this place only because the safari booking was included in package. The online accommodation pictures were not too enticing to book. We were 16 of us and it was a big risk that we had taken. However, we were in for a pleasant surprise. The place is right beside the river, beautifully located. Their room sizes are huge, bathrooms are spic n span, beddings and linen are very clean. The walls too seemed freshly painted. One of the rooms offered to us felt like a Presidential suite, extremely big with various sections inside the room. To give a perspective, this room size would be bigger than a standard 2bhk in Mumbai. To add to this – the staff is extremely warm, courteous and highly motivated. They didn’t seem to work just because they were getting paid. They actually loved their job. Every single person without an exception from Reception to Housekeeping to Restaurant to our Coracle, Rafting and Nature Trail guide – all of them were eager and warm and dedicated. When we had an insect in our room and wanted it removed, we literally had a service guy attend to us within 3 mins of calling, at midnight – again, with good attitude and without complaining for the time of our ask. Activity and manpower planning is spot on. Everything is manually done, but perfectly handled. Food quality is excellent. Gave a very homely food feel, less masala, less oil. Spread was also perfect. Post my stay here, I’d fervently believe and say that it is the staff that creates experiences and memories for its guests, else the rooms are just walls. I have stayed in many Jungle Lodges/resorts in the past and I very strongly say this was the only one which was outstanding and could give a tough competition to the best of private resorts. This time I chose this resort only for the safari, but next time – this would be my husband & my preferred choice, because of the staff and warmth that we felt here. Kudos to the entire team of Kali Adventure Camp! Keep it up! Advise to readers, Do not go with the online look n feel of the camp which surely needs a makeover. The actual experience and feel that this place and staff provides is fantastic. You will love it. Highly...
Read moreI have stayed in the kabini jungle lodge and kabini river tern lodge earlier and this was my third jungle lodge stay - the Kali adventure camp.
Food - the food was average . Not as yummy as the other jungle lodges I have stayed in . It was a miss for me.
Safari - I didn't see any animals in the jungle safari. Deers are so common to see in all safaris but even that I saw only towards the end of the safari. No birds either. It was a miss for me. In the camp itself there is a tree full of hornbills where u can see them up close. So i was happy I got to see a hornbill couple atleast.
River rafting - I had never done river rafting before and for a beginner this is such a beautiful , wonderful, serene experience. In fact it was the best part of the stay and what made my stay worth it in Kali lodge. The rafting part is very less and not scary so it's great for a beginner but the ride itself in the river is just so gorgeous. Its so beautiful, it effortlessly makes u meditative. Don't miss it !!
Staff - the staff in the all of the jungle lodges I have been to have been excellent . It was the same in Kali adventure camp. The staff is so courteous, so proactive that it's hard to believe that it's a Indian government organisation. Thank you for the wonderful staff of Kali nature camp who also seem to be quite happy...
Read moreWe stayed in special rooms, clean and comfortable. Food was great and authentic. The property is just so surreal and calming. But what makes this place a unforgettable experience is the service. The staff can be called the heart of the camp. They are so motivated to make our stay the best. Starting from the manager, Mr. Mohan Babu to the kitchen staff, Mr.Bharat, Mr.Bheem Singh, Mr.Rajkumar and the front office staff, made sure all our needs and special requests were taken care. Mr. Baswaraj Pai drove us around for the safaris, river rafting and came along for our 7 hours trek in the thick jungle, which was by the way the most extreme and adventurous experience where we got to see the Indian python just a meter away from us. He helped us the entire trek and by the end our stay, he was our friend. Mr.Gajja took us on a coracle ride and a nature while he imparted us with all the knowledge about birds, plants and their medicinal values. We were lucky enough to spot a leopard on our way to the safari.|Genuinely felt like extending our stay and go on...
