Goldeer Haven - Joida — Hotel in Karnataka

Rooms are spacious especially the ones at the far end. Place is away from the hustle bustle. U can spot some fauna around the place. We went there during the mid week and had the place to ourselves. Day 1 was good, but one room had an AC which wasn't working. After repeated reminders, they gave us another room 'cave room' whose AC wasnt effective Day 2 we spent half day outdoors riding trails. The morning and afternoon thru the night was without proper current n AC wasnt working. It rained in the early part of the night brought about cooling which was a bliss as we could sleep. The rooms have inverters with which you could run a fan.

They have a DG but dosent work.

IMP. No network apart from BSNL.

The food served was tasty thought lacked in variety. The pool is large enough n mainted.

One of the worst experience with regards to the stay and the amount they charged us.For Dorm we had to pay 1500 per head/day with food. Non veg was served only for dinner with 2 items of chicken. The same chicken items were given the next day for dinner. Initially we were supposed to be given a dorm which was like a room which they called cottage. Then they were forcing us to stay in the hall of the owners house where the rest of the people were staying on the floor and they were asking us to adjust. We had to verbally argue with them and denied staying in their hall. All the pics in their website are photoshopped. Gave 2 only for the service which was good and the waiters were doing their job. We stayed at this property in the 3rd week of November for 2 nights and found it as an amazing experience to stay in the middle of forest. The location, hospitality of staff and food are excellent. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and maintained with care. I would certainly like to visit again.

Suggestions: Though there is a signboard on main road which says the direction towards the property, it may go unnoticed in the dark due to its design, if it can be made more visible (by making it two color scheme) to motorist it would be even better.
