Golden Residency Hotel — Hotel in Karnataka

We stayed at the Golden Residency as part of the Summer Walk organised by Mr.Sammilan Shetty of the Belvai Butterfly Park fame. It was good option for stay close to the natural spots around the foothills of the Western Ghats. The rooms were compact and clean. The food offered as part of the room service was quite tasty and filling (though the vegetarian fare was limited and South Indian cuisine was almost totally absent). There are groceries and medical stores nearby for any emergencies. The tariff was also quite reasonable given the facilities. The hotel has limited staff there was a single person who catered to all our room-service and house-keeping needs but he was quite efficient.||However, one incident ruined our stay quite a bit and is the reason for the 3-stars instead of a. 5-star rating. There were a few guests smoking, drinking, and talking quite noisily almost until 1 AM on the first night of our stay. It took repeated calls to reception and finally a direct confrontation of the guests to solve this problem. The corridors were filled with the smell of smoke and beer, which was extremely unpleasant for us. The A/C in the room saved us as otherwise the room would have also felt like a dingy bar! The hotel does have a restaurant where they serve alcohol and it can also allocate smoking rooms - entirely up to them but the smell of alcohol and smoke and noise cannot be imposed on guests by permitting some to smoke and consume alcohol in...

Good place to stay in Moodibidri . We were a group of 5 ( Family ) . Took two rooms . Super deluxe and deluxe rooms. Cleanliness was satisfactory. There was no drinking water provided. On asking for water they gave two bottles of 1 litre Bisleri and charged us 63 rupees for the same. On questioning this the manager, very rude guy talked so many non sense and told “you don’t teach me how to do business” . A basic amenity “providing drinking water” was not done and the manager is a total loser. Everything except the idiotic manager who showed his non sense attitude acceptable . Having such stupid staff to run the place will destroy the place eventually rather than grow...

This hotel is located in Moodabidri small temple town in karkala taluk of dakshina Kannada District in Karnataka. Unlike the northern part of India dakshina Kannada district and Udupi district of Karnataka office multi cuisine restaurant in small places. The hotel is very clean and food is tasty. We were family of 4 with two little kids and we tried the prawns koliwada and chicken urval which were excellent. for the main course we ate the fried rice and Fatima chicken biryani which were also very good. if you are visiting Moodabidri visit as it is reasonably priced...
