Our recent stay at Honey Drop Homestay was nothing short of delightful. The warmth and hospitality extended by Thanushree and her family made us feel right at home. This was one of the worst management i came across, I dont know about the rooms, food and other stuffs but here I wanted to explain a scenario that I experienced last week. I booked this homestay a week before of my planned date and we were charged 1.4k per person, this package included 2 times meals and other activities also ( like campfire, games and trekking as well ) and we even paid 4k as advance for booking. A week went and i was getting ready to start my trip, In the morning the host called me and said that the homestay is not available for today but he has made arrangements for us, like he has referred another homestay so that we can stay there. we agreed for that and went to another homestay which he referred us and all of us were in shock, because this homestay was not even good, the rooms were not clean, there was no place for parking and also there was no kitchen itself. Every one was so upset, we called our host and asked about the activities and all, this time he was totally rude and he said he cant give any activities for us and he was not even ready to cut the cost. Then we decided to search for someother homestay, for our fortune we got one. Later we called this guy and asked for re fund, yes he refunded us but 3k instead of 4k. we didnt to any mistake, it was all his fault but still we lost 1k. Poorly maintained and bad food. I have stayed in 10 different home stays in my life in various places like coorg, sakleshpur, chikmagalur etc. This is by far the worst home stay i have ever seen. The management of the homestay do not care about the people that stay there. ||||Room Condition: ||||- The room we took is for 5 people and the room is very small. ||- We checked in around 8 PM and the room was not cleaned. ||- Bed spreads were not fresh and bed sheets were very bad. ||- Bathroom is worst than the ones that you see in public places like bus stands. (commode and the sink were not cleaned at all). ||- Room did not have a single table to keep our luggage. - ||- To reach room you have to walk up hill for 50 mts. ||||Food: ||||- We had side dishes (both chicken and veg) for booze, dinner and breakfast. ||- One chicken side dish was okay (pepper chicken) and the other one we didn't eat at all. ||- Veg dishes were also bad. ||- Dinner was mediocre with very less options. ||- For morning breakfast we had chapathi and idly both with chutney only. ||Who on the earth makes coconut chutney for chapathi. ||||Overall the experience was very bad. ||||We were the only people in the property so in the night boozed outside without any disturbance that is the only good thing in that home stay that...
