Khans Gufa Resort — Hotel in Karnataka

Overall worst experience, During check-in there was no one at the reception after check-in ...when we checked the rooms and beds the bedsheets and comforters were full of stains and dirt marks and some of were torn on the inner side too, after waiting for 30 to 40 mins post check-in and several interactions with the room service staff managed to get 2 bed sheets and had to avoid the comforters as the room service staff themselves said that they wash the spreads and comforters by hand and Do not use a washing machine so forget dry cleaning and thus the stains.You dont get any guidance regarding the safari whereas other resorts in the neighborhood do arrange such facilities.

Next we were informed that they will take a Covid Test ( Rapid Antigen Test) at the hotel itself but then they informed us that they dont do it there and we were by default forced to go to the local government hospital and wait there for an hour to get tested and return to the resort. The only reason i gave a 1 Star rating is for the average food and restaurant service.

I feel cheated because we had done a booking for 2 nights and we asked if we can check out a day earlier they said we could check out and also we will get a refund of the same and made us write a letter to the management for the same, requesting for a refund.

After checking out i tried being in contact with the concerned person(Reservation Manager) for the refund for a week and i was being said that i will get it soon ... later they stopped receiving my calls and finally when i called them from a different number they said We can't refund the money. Why waste everyone's time by making false promises ?... Overall i wouldn't recommend not staying here personally, its sad to see that such a good property is managed in a Such a poor and...

We really had a wonderful time at the resort, though it was a short visit. The beautiful hills and the wilderness was just the perfect break from the city. The highlights are - the staff is hard-working and very friendly who tend to your needs and make sure you're comfortable. The location is perfect if you want to visit nearby places. It's definitely safe and spacious. We stayed in the cottages - they were clean and hygienic.

A few recommendations for the management - the infrastructure could definitely be improved especially doors and fittings seem like quick fixes and not well repaired - the doors and handles. With gaps in doors, mosquitoes and insects would become a problem.

An annual or semi annual extermination activity is necessary for insects especially when guests dine outside the room. Just for safety.

A definite improvement is needed with food - considering the location without much access to restaurants nearby, guests would rely on you for good hygienic comfort food and that was a miss. Good food always goes a long way and keeps guests happy.

It would be great if you could incorporate these and we would love to visit again.

I visited this place on 14th Apr23 and checked out on 16th Apr23. Here are the things I felt like sharing for people who are looking for this resort. 1. Staff are very unprofessional, specially the lady on reception. 2. Standard room which costs you more than 3k/night, it looks very old with no maintenance. 3. TV doesn’t work and they don’t even help with any alternative. 4. Bathroom door looks very dirty, in fact entire bathroom makes you feel like you have made the wrong choice. When you complain about it, they will say it’s an old resort. I mean what kind of response it is. 5. They do have option for credit card but they will make excuses to swipe it. They try their last bit to make you pay via UPI or cash. 6. Cottage which built newly, it looks great but TV doesn’t work there also. I stayed one night in newly built cottage. And as I mentioned above, being unprofessional, they had not kept dustbin in washroom. They had not cleaned the room ( there were lots of ants). Table and chairs outside were not clean. They are very unprofessional in terms maintaining the room and keeping basic stuff...
