Majali Beach Resorts Non Alcoholic — Hotel in Karnataka

In 3 words: an unlucky disaster! Not complaining about the lack of wifi or even the network as I have come for a vacation keeping work at a bay. Neither am I complaining about the insects coming from the nearby groves as they're bound to come, more so in the monsoon. Nor am I complaining about the lack of timely service as only 2-3 staff (not much business here). BUT! Basic cleaning before providing accommodation was not done. As the night progressed, roaches started pouring out from the furnitures one after another! A nightmare!

The only reason I didn't give it a 1 star rating is for the fact that the location is great with close proximity to nature and the staff shifted us to 'premium' rooms which was devoid of the nuisance. The owner/manager is definitely a helpful and welcoming person but he has no idea of managing the property. If anyone is willing to stay, do take the Row Cottages and not Lake View Cottages.

Edited with additional points (21 September 2022): Replying to the owner (who replied below) We didn't carry any snacks from outside as it was our first halt. And bringing snacks doesn't mean bringing insects, talk some sense! The food was served by your staff from your menu card.. go verify before replying absurdly just to defend yourself.

The resort is located just on the beach. The compound includes a large natural lake (with a rope bridge for adventure games) swings made of tyres, decorative boats, and flowerbeds. All the cottages, which were very spacious, have a lake-view balcony on the backside and a garden-view balcony on the front, both of them roofed and with chairs.

During our stay on October 16, 2024, the resort was under renovation and we were the only guests. But the owner did not show any lack of hospitality for that. They lighted the entire campus only for us and filled the vases at the restaurant with fresh flowers. The food is very palatable and served with utmost hospitality. Next day during our checkout it was raining and they helped us a lot.
