Having been there twice recently, I have fresh memories of my stay in the Royal Lotus View hotel.
The cleanliness is at par with any 4 star hotels - freshly spread bedsheets, clean bathrooms and toilets, no stink anywhere and rooms kept in immaculate condition, with everything promised while booking.
Free, 2x500 ml water bottles for two guests per day per room (I wish they were 1 litre bottles atleast per day), regular house-keeping visits (or on demand) to replace towels or tissue rolls and to clean the room. Your phone calls for service is answered quickly and attended too.
As for food, most of what they serve is delicious and very fresh! However, meals have less options (even buffet) in comparison with some of the other 4 star hotels where I've stayed in the past. Sometimes they do not have buffet for lunch or dinner (when the rooms aren't filled up and the crowd's less) and you have to wait for 20 mins for food after ordering what you want. Ordering what's not on the menu is possible but it depends on whether they can prepare it for you and yes, it attracts additional charges.
Room service is pretty expensive but atleast the food is good. There are nearby hotels where you'd get more food options if you do not wish to have food at the hotel.
They have decent swimming pools for kids and adults separately, recreational room which offer Carrom Board, Pool, and an almost full sized Gymnasium that has pretty much everything you'll need to workout.
4 x Pool side view rooms (Standard), a few Superior rooms with balcony (non pool-facing, with basic TV channel subscription) and a couple of Deluxe suites that cost the highest (haven't tried so far). They also have a bar and probably a Spa too but I haven't used them both.
Choose the Superior room if you choose to drink in your room or like to have fresh, natural air all the time because it offers a balcony where you can open the windows but beware of mosquitoes.
Weekends draw crowd sometimes but not always and the house-keeping crew is not very noisy like in some hotels.
Finally, the staff is quite friendly.
All in all, a decent stay away from the chaos of the city if you aren't on a strict budget and aren't too keen on wanting extra curricular activities like in case of resorts but to relax or to find peace of mind from the...
Read moreWe have been frequent patrons of this resotel, enjoying meals, overnight stays, and relaxation. Recently, we decided to extend our stay for a couple of days. Overall, the food quality remains satisfactory, and room service is prompt. The accommodations, including the swimming pool area, are well-maintained.
However, there are several issues that have left us dissatisfied:
The cost of food has increased. The presence of corporate day outings has led to overcrowding in the swimming pool and common areas. Only mornings say till 10:30 am, we can use pool peacefully. In the restaurant, most tables are prioritized for corporate day outing attendees, leaving fewer available for guests staying in the rooms, which we find unreasonable. During buffet breakfast, the restaurant becomes crowded, and the limited space makes accessing dishes difficult when multiple people are present. The children's play area is situated near staff toilets, resulting in unpleasant odors, and the animal enclosures are poorly maintained, with garbage bins nearby. Certain adventurous activities are locked. We later got to know that if we pay additional amount they will open it. How do we know about all these? We believe such information should be provided by receptionists during check-in. The chairs near the swimming pool are in poor condition. The availability and functionality of children's recreational vehicles, such as battery-operated cars and bikes, are inconsistent. Being asked to pay for their use upon checkout, especially when they're not functional (due to battery drain) beforehand, feels overly commercial.
Addressing these issues promptly would greatly enhance the guest experience. Despite our decision to remove your resotel from our list of preferred establishments, we encourage you to take corrective action to maintain customer satisfaction and attract...
Read moreWithout a single Lotus bloom insight we were greeted to the royal "Lotus view " with a strong stench of rabbit and duck fecal matter. 😭😭😭The playground was disappointing, the equipment poorly maintained and there was no air in the basketball and one among the 2 swings were broken... There was duck poop on the chess board field and the spa was equally disgusting. The inside of the spa was not clean and the bath room didn't have hot water coming immediately, had to wait 15 minutes. It was called 'aroma' sap but with just some basic almond oil. All normal soaps and little shampoo sachets like the ones you get on the street side. Very sad. Thank God we didn't stay in any of the rooms. The pool was very badly maintained. The pool chairs dirty. The massage chair in the room was not working and even the snooker pool table was sad. We went to sit at the bar to get some lemonade and no one was available for serving. We had planned to come for a nice buffet lunch and to our disappointment since there were not many other guests they cancelled the buffet and served mediocre food . Nothing special nothing original. Just the same old nanna and chicken curry and some biryani like rice .Stuff we could have had at the nearby highway dhabba. For 3/4th the price. The dessert...it was so sad..no fruits or ice-cream or even some regular cake. It was moong Dahl halwa. It felt like a punishment trying to eat that sloop. We wasted 4000 rupees. Bruh ! Nothing was more disappointing than today! We should have just stayed at home. That's 6 hours of my life I'm never getting back! Thank you for nothing royal Lotus view. It's a great spot and location but badly managed. If it was managed well and taken care of, this place could get more customers. Please do something about this for your own business sake and so that no other customer would have such a bad experience as us...
