Athirapilly Polaris Resort — Hotel in Kerala

Location : 5/5. This is biggest factor in favour of Polaris resort. It is situated right next to the Challakudi river. You can spend your entire day in the river, listening to the sound of flowing water. One staff member from the resort will accompany and guide you always if you go to the river. This way you know you are safe. This is a very private place, as it’s located inside and away from the main road. It's also very close to lot of places of interest

Ambience and room : 5/5. We took the room that had the river view. The view of the river, mountains and forest welcomes us every time will move the blinds. The room itself was clean and spacious with a kettle, tv, hair dryer, mini fridge and a balcony. The entire place is decorated very tastefully with lot of plants and usage of wood everywhere. There is lot of light and sun Cleanliness: 5/5.The entire resort is maintained very well and is clean

Food: 4/5. The food is cooked in the resort and you need to order in advance. Some dishes are not available if the number of portions is less. Example chicken biryani. These can be prepared only when the number of portions is more than 2. Alcohol is not served here.

Staff: 5/5. The team of Nikhil, Pratap and Biju did an excellent job and made sure that the entire stay was pleasant. Be it accompanying us to the river, telling us about the local sight seeing locations or recommendations for a dish, they had been very helpful all the time. They worked as one team always and gave us a rejuvenating stay

Parking Space: 4/5. The resort has 9 rooms and it can accommodate vehicles. However, the parking is limited.

Road Connectivity: 3/5. The approach road towards the hotel is very narrow, with canal running on one side. It’s impossible to pass if another vehicle comes from opposite direction. However, very less vehicles use this road. The signboard from the resort is the only way, we can be assured that the place exists. This needs to be improved

Facilities: 4/5. There is a very nice and clean swimming pool inside and also a banquet hall. Evening you can also sit in the small and cosy lawn under the sky or chose the covered restaurant next to it. They do even arrange campfire. The wifi is very poor here with no speed and frequent outage. So if you are planning to work from here, please forget about it. Mobile...

We,a group of eight ,stayed and enjoyed at Polaris for two nights...it was our college reunion after over three decades and I must thank Polaris and the staff for being so sporty and supportive ...tolerative to all the craziness,fun, frolic,laughter and noise we made there!!! This place was too gud in terms of room,service,hygiene,really competitive pricing and an excellent homely experience...close to nature!!! The staff was really helpful,friendly and was there at the slightest call...the manager mr nikhil ,is a wonderful person who is heading the place smoothly and very very pleasant and always has a wonderful smile ....the fud too was gud and tasty made freshly and they went an extra leg to save our extra lunch ...refrigerate it and reheat and serve it along with our dinner ..in order to avoid wastage !!! The rooms are spic and span...washrooms are neat with toiletries and clean towels ...a gud ambience ,we also get to sit by the crystal clear chalakudy river ...the flowing water gushes and that itself is the soothing melody that we hear as we sit in our rooms ...the fud too was really gud..especially the chicken fry was too gud ... the puttu kadala was really yummy ...thank u so much Mr Nikhil and the whole team of Polaris for the warm hospitality !!! The only con ...would be the tiny stretch of road ( maybe 1.5 kms ) as we reach the resort ...is really narrow and too bumpy ...if u could do something to correct that ..then allz perfect ...and yeah a bit more choice in the breakfast spread would be great!!! ...ample parking space too is there ... Thank u Polaris for helping us create beautiful memories !!! I would def suggest this place if u r luking for a safe haven to have...

Best resort in Athirapalli. Most caring staff. Mr. Prathap was the best managers we have ever seen. The staff Abhijit and Midul were great too. Amazing location just beside the river, very scenic. The property itself; the Rooms , the Sweeming pool were very clean and spacious. The pool was private and really enjoyable. The food especially is made on demand of the customer and fresh meals are prepared with the raw materials are bought fresh just 2 hrs before any meal. Watermelon and Pineapple Juice and Pineapple Cake, Kerala papad were the best till date. As we liked welcome drink (watermelon juice)...inspite of the rain one of their staff went to the market by foot and bought fresh watermelon to make the juice and served us in big glasses. We just don't have words to express this. On the day of our check out Mr. Prathap send one of the staff to bring freshly prepared Pineapple cake , Rassam powder and Kerala papad. As we were enjoying river with one of the staff to help us cross river and the manager stood there all the time to ensure that we were safe as the river was fast flowing. One of the best sunset views. As we get up in the morning , sound of water crashing on the rocks and extraordinary view from the room ;the river,coconut trees, the greenery and cool air creating a beautiful atmosphere.

Well, to summarize all I can say is the best of our stays and created one of the most beautiful memories in our life. Looking forward to...
