I recently stayed at BENIEL Homestay and overall had a pleasant experience. The budget-friendly deal initially caught my eye, and it didn't disappoint. The cleanliness of the place is commendable, and the support for a late check-in was a lifesaver. Joel, the host, went above and beyond by not only facilitating a smooth check-in but also helping arrange a fantastic Jeep trip to Kolukkumalai.

One standout feature was waking up early morning to scenic views, thanks to its hillside location and close to the Kolukkumalai sunrise point. Joel, who's remarkably informative and responsive on WhatsApp, impressed me even before I checked in. His fluency in English made communication seamless, and he patiently addressed all my queries.

The diverse international crowd staying here is a testament to its popularity among foreigners. However, the uphill location may pose a parking challenge, especially for those on a road trip if too many bookings with cars the same day.

Overall experience: Had an amazing and very safe trip. The host family made us feel very comfortable and safe. Best place for female travellers! The host Mr. Joel helped us in many ways right from structuring out the itinerary as per our needs and helping us throughout the treks. The entire experience was really good especially the Kolukumalai and Bose peak trek.

Rooms: Very clean. Budget friendly and perfectly safe for female travellers as the hosts live next door. Service: Services were around the clock and the hosts very kind and patient. Location: This homestay is near to main Munnar (30-40mins travel). It's the perfect location to stay if the itinerary focuses on Kolukumalai sunrise trek as it's very near to the starting point. Beniel Homestay is very good, super clean rooms and Joyal is the best host ever, he is very friendly, want his guest to enjoy tinthe fullest, he helps a lot. I am a woman solo traveller and infelt very comfortable, safe at Beniel's place. Joyal and his family are amazing, Joyal came to pick me from the bus stop to his homestay and showed me locla sight seeing, clicked my amazing pictures his photography skills are amazing, his father also very helpful, they gave me hot water for drinking early morning 4.30 am too, Joyal has amazinf driving skills and he takes u safely to kulukumalai sunrise point.
