🚨 Absolute Disaster – This Place Should Be SHUT DOWN! 🚨 We booked 5 deluxe rooms for 15 adults and 3 kids (with breakfast included) via Goibibo, paying ₹13,630. The online photos made it look premium and decent, but the reality was nothing short of a nightmare. From the very beginning, the experience was horrible: Misleading pricing: When we casually inquired about rates, the so-called manager quoted ₹2,500, then ₹3,500, and claimed that in peak season, it can go up to ₹5,000. No consistency, no transparency. Filthy washrooms: The biggest shock. Broken toilet seats, unclean commodes, cigarette butts lying inside, water all over the floor, stinking bathrooms – not even usable. After a long journey with kids and an elderly grandmother, the minimum expectation was a clean washroom, but here it was a complete horror show. The attached photos say it all. No basic amenities: No towels, no soaps, no water bottles, no room service. Nothing. Even a roadside lodge provides more facilities than this so-called “resort.” Water crisis: Next morning, the entire resort had NO WATER. Despite 5 big tanks, it took them almost 2 HOURS to fix it, ruining our entire day’s plan. Imagine being stuck with kids and elders and not even being able to use the washroom in the morning. Shameful! Pathetic breakfast: They served idlis and vadas with sambar and chutney, but no tea at all. Seriously? A resort in Munnar – the land of tea – and they cannot even provide a basic cup of tea! What a joke. Untrained, rude staff: The manager shamelessly admitted he was new (10–15 days in) and that the “system here is a complete disaster.” Instead of solving problems, he gave excuses. Later, some “accounts manager” Prem Kumar arrived out of nowhere just to argue with us, without knowing any of the issues. Totally unprofessional. Fake advertising: The photos online are a complete scam. From the outside, the place looks premium, but inside, it is a disgusting mess. Even the so-called “super deluxe” rooms they later gave us were just not "Super". Our family trip, which we had planned with so much effort, turned into a stressful, irritating experience. We had 3 kids and an elderly grandmother travelling with us – and this resort destroyed our peace of mind. We fought hard and finally managed to get a refund, but nothing can compensate for the mental frustration we went through. ⚠️ Final word of caution to all travellers: This property is a FRAUD. Don’t fall for the fancy online photos on Goibibo or other sites. Visit in person and book elsewhere – there are plenty of better, cheaper, and much cleaner options around Munnar. 👉 If you value your money, time, and peace of mind, do NOT book La Flora Spicewood Resort under any circumstance. This place is a disgrace to tourism and should not even be allowed to operate. 🔥 With your photos attached, this review will hit hard and ensure no one else...

I stayed at this property yesterday. While the room, cleanliness, and washroom were excellent, the service was quite disappointing and left a bad impression.

We were initially shown rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors. Since I have an injury and find it difficult to climb stairs, we specifically chose the 1st floor room. After paying, we went out for lunch and sightseeing, and didn’t collect the key immediately. However, when we returned at night, we were given a different room on the 3rd floor — the room we paid for had been given to someone else. This was extremely inconvenient considering my condition.

On top of that, basic amenities like towels and toiletries were missing, though they did provide them once we asked. A kettle was also not in the room initially but was provided upon request. Our package included an extra bed, which we asked for twice, but it was never provided. We had to adjust without it.

The real issue came the next morning — there was no water in the taps. When we reported it, someone said it would be fixed in two minutes, but nothing happened for over 20 minutes. It turned out that the issue wasn’t even communicated properly. We followed up multiple times and eventually got water only after 9 AM, just an hour before our checkout time. To make matters worse, the water was muddy and completely unusable — I’ve attached a picture to show the condition.

Overall, while the property itself is nice, the lack of proper management and poor service really ruined the experience for us. Wouldn't recommend unless the service is improved...

Thanks for reading this review 🙏 I would like to share my experience with all of our visitors. It was a surprise trip for my family given by me. The best part is that I found myself blessed with lots of wishes from my family for the decision to book this resort. We had enjoyed like a family with the Hotel staff. The hotel manager Mr. Chan is a compassionate personality. He really helped us to guide about nearest tourist spot to visit/experience ever. We have enjoyed alot with him as we were able to got a chance to hear and saw his hidden talent called as HumanMusicBeatBox.

Let's talk about the room premises and appliances, They have 2 different types of rooms as Delux and Delux Suit room. We have booked both because we were 5 person. The bed is much comfort in size and the cushion quality. If you are TV lover, you can enjoy hearing news or watching movie while in bed. It is surrounded by latex tree and there is a small lake just above it. You will be able to see the dam from its balcony if the weather is clear.

We found the food best in taste, it always seem like we are having food at home because of it's taste and the behaviour of the staff. They can cook both North and South Indian food. Also best in food.

I still miss that place and think to visit again because of over all experience had this whole duration.

I would personally recommend you to choose it over others because you will enjoy the journey to reach this place as well as the resort itself.
