Yesterday, on 1st September, I arrived at Manarcard Junction and checked in at Hotel Merlin Residence at 6:00 AM. Since I had to attend church at 7:30 AM, I was in a hurry. When I went to the bathroom, there was no hot water. I immediately called the reception, and they said there was some problem which would be resolved by the evening. I had no choice but to bathe in cold water.||In the evening, I complained again about the same issue. They assured me the maintenance team was working on it and that it would be fixed soon. However, the problem continued. Later, I also reported that a big cockroach was running around in the room. The staff simply replied that housekeeping was not doing their work properly, and the manager’s attitude was very rude and unprofessional. Instead of helping, she spoke in a manner that made me feel unwelcome.||On 2nd September, I complained once more that hot water was still not available. The manager replied, “What can I do? I have already informed the management, they will look after it. I cannot help you.” I also pointed out that the room was in terrible condition despite being a so-called “Deluxe Room” — the walls were damp and shabby, there was a foul smell from the bathroom, and overall cleanliness was very poor. The only response I got again was that “housekeeping is not doing their work properly,” and no solution was offered.||Due to this, I had no choice but to check out. I had originally booked the hotel from 1st to 8th September (8 days), but I stayed for only one day and left to find another hotel because the conditions were unbearable.||This is by far the worst hotel I have ever experienced. Poor maintenance, unhygienic rooms, no hot water, cockroaches, foul smell, and above all, an extremely unprofessional and rude manager at the front desk. Read moreWe are currently staying here as we are attending an event near by. We booked the deluxe room as the receptionist said there were no other rooms available . We checked in by around 9 pm and we were very tired. The check in process was all smooth . But we could hardly sleep as there was continuous sound of rats running through the false sealing in our room. It was very disturbing and so unsanitary of not maintaining that . When that was mentioned to the receptionist he was taking it very casually and that no one has ever reported that way. And he was not even listening to what I was saying properly .
