Our family of 4 adults and 2 kids—including our beloved honey bunch 🚗 Brezza—had an amazing experience throughout the trip. This wasn’t just a getaway; it was a special journey that brought us closer to nature 🌿 and each other ❤️. The journey itself set the tone. The adventurous drive from Munnar to Vattavada 🚘 was filled with winding roads, scenic landscapes 🌲, and crisp mountain air 🌬️ that built up our excitement. A quick but important tip for fellow travellers: you’ll need to pass through a 5 km stretch of reserve forest 🐾, and entry is only permitted between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM ⏰. If you have a confirmed booking 📄, like we did, you can show it to the forest guards to gain entry after hours—but it’s best to plan ahead.

Once we reached, we had to climb around 120 steps 🪜 to get to the homestay—definitely a bit breath-taking (literally! 😅), but the view from the balcony 🏞️ made every step worth it. Rolling hills ⛰️, mist-kissed mornings 🌫️, and pure mountain air 🌬️ made it feel like a dream ✨.

The rooms were clean 🛏️, cozy, and offered stunning views. Eldo brother(Owner) kindly helped us park our car in a secure, gated area 🔐, which gave us peace of mind. And yes, it’s not just my car—it’s part of me: a blood and steel bond 🔩❤️ that only a true connection can explain.

The maid 🧹 at the homestay was incredibly helpful, even guiding us to a nearby strawberry farm 🍓. We had the joy of plucking fresh strawberries and blackberries straight from the plants 🌱—a simple yet fulfilling experience 🌼.

One generous touch from Misty Mountains was offering us free entry passes 🎟️ to visit the Honey Museum 🍯. We loved learning about traditional beekeeping 🐝 and sampling different varieties of honey—both educational and tasty!

A short walk through the woods led us to a hidden waterfall 💧—a serene little spot tucked away in nature. Just a heads-up: beware of leeches 🪱, especially after rain. Covered shoes and socks are a must 👟🧦!

When it came to food, we were in for a treat 😋. We had food delivered to the homestay 🛵 and also visited the Museum Restaurant 🍽️. The dishes—chicken fried rice 🍚, parotta 🫓, and beef roast 🥩—were absolutely delicious and satisfying. Evenings were magical ✨—spent beside a warm bonfire 🔥, under a blanket of stars 🌌. Calm, quiet, and soul-soothing.

We’re definitely planning to visit again in December ❄, when temperatures drop to 0°C 🧊, for a full-on wintery mountain experience!

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at your resort. While the location itself might be beautiful , there were several aspects of my experience that fell short of expectations.

Caretaker's Unprofessional Conduct: The caretaker's behavior was discourteous. Specifically, they asked us to stop playing music after 10 pm in an unreasonable manner.

Limited Suitability: For a group of bachelors like ourselves, the amenities and atmosphere were not a good fit.

Pricing Concerns: Considering the limitations for groups and the early music curfew, the price point seems high.
