It's just a short walk to the trailhead for the view-point and the statues. The view of the fields below in the flatlands of Tamil Nadu is breathtaking! In the night the lights of the villages and farms look like a starry sky below. In the day, you feel like an eagle, observing from the nest...||||The host family is super friendly - made us feel like family! The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We were even given a tour of the farm! Cardamom, pepper, coffee, and more to see in its natural habitat! On some days accepted the offered lunch and dinner - delicious and plentiful! We especially enjoyed the local desserts that they prepared for us... And, of course, the cardamom chai - with cardamom from their own farm - was something we'll be dreaming of for many months to come!||||There are hardly any international travelers coming to this area. Everybody in the neighborhood - young and old - was excited to meet us, and say hello, and say a few words in english. Some speak English very well, and are a delight to have a conversation with. Nice budget option for solo or group stay in Ramakkalmedu

Good room: The room was clean and tidy. It had an attached bathroom. And bathroom is very clean.

Good location: Very near to all the tourist spots in Ramakkalmedu.

Friendly staff: This is run by a small family. They

were friendly and nice people.

Solo friendly: The single with private bathroom is ideal for solo travelers.

Good pricing: The room they provide is worth the price you pay. This is a bang for buck option without any doubt

No free internet: As opposed to being advertised in the facilities there is no free wifi available here. So not a ideal spot for remote working. Jio network is quite strong and so having it should help you do some work.

No heater in bathroom: This is something that's a small negative. Being a place that turns very cold in evening and morning, not having a heater makes it a bit tricky to have a bath. They don't provide heater in the single rooms thought they do have it for rooms meant for more than one guests. So if you want hot water facility then do book the room with two or more beds which is not a budget friendly for...

“Peaceful stay with warm hospitality!”

We had a wonderful experience at Mountain Mist Homestay in Ramakkalmedu. The location is absolutely beautiful—set on a hillside with panoramic views of the windmills and the Tamil Nadu plains. The cool breeze, especially in the mornings and evenings, made the entire stay so refreshing.

The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained. We loved waking up to the sound of birds and watching the mist roll in over the hills—just like the name suggests! It’s a perfect place to relax and disconnect from the noise of city life.
