I recently had the pleasure of staying at ‘Pepper County’ Home Stay with my family, and I must say it was a truly enchanting experience. Nestled amidst lush greenery and surrounded by a mini forest, with Exotic fruits & Spices, this home stay offers a peaceful retreat from the city life.

The first thing that struck me upon arrival was the breathtaking view. The home stay is situated in a picturesque location, with large windows and a cozy balcony that offer uninterrupted views of the surrounding forest. Waking up to the sound of chirping birds and the gentle rustling of leaves was truly rejuvenating.

The accommodation itself was immaculate and exuded a warm, welcoming ambiance. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and tastefully decorated, making it a comfortable and inviting space to relax in.

One of the highlights of my stay was the incredible hospitality of the hosts Mr. Cyriac uncle & Dolly Aunty and his entire family, From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like their own, ensuring that I had everything I needed for a memorable stay. They were extremely friendly, accommodating, and always ready to offer suggestions for local activities and nearby attractions. Their warmth and genuine care made us feel right at home.

The balcony View and cardamom plantation is an ideal retreat for nature lovers. The property offers easy access to Elephant safari and bath very next door to this property or simply unwind in this peaceful garden, Nearest attractions, Periyar tiger reserve boating is 10mins away Off road Jeep safari in to the forest for 3 hrs with breath taking views and take a walk in tea estate best time to start @06am Parundhupara ‘Eaglesden’ 35 mins from here Kuttikanam is 45 mins away Vagamon meadows is just 1.30mins from here Gavi forest is also 1.30hrs from here And Purchase spices from Hilltop spices ref by the property owner

I also had the pleasure of savoring some delectable home-cooked meals during my stay. The hosts took pride in preparing delicious, locally sourced dishes that showcased the flavors of the region.

Overall, my experience at ‘Pepper County’ Home Stay was nothing short of exceptional. The tranquil setting, attentive hosts, and charming accommodations provided a truly rejuvenating and memorable stay. I would highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway amidst...

Third stay on an organised tour with a local driver. This was a package - so can't comment upon value etc.|The owners were welcoming and informed - and are rightly proud of their property.|They have expanded and built upon at different times to include a separate residential and eating block.|The rooms are very traditional with teak fixtures, balcony overlooking the garden and a separate seating area. |The food was cooked fresh, (no menu provided but we enjoyed the surprise element). Everything we ate was enjoyable, tasty and a credit to the chef, thank you. Was quite concerned when was told that there was going to be English food for our second evening meal - however, it was what I described as fusion cuisine.|This was the first property where we could actually walk into a small town - we took advantage of this and bought some shoes, mosquito spray etc from a local shop. I really wish, I had visited the tailor here.|This was also the first place where there appeared to be a lot of birds and butterflies present. however, these hid when the rain started and didn't stop. This also meant, we couldn't use the balcony which was a shame.|there isn't much to do if the weather is poor - but I suppose, we were just unlucky, in that respect.|Noises from cows next door, but they were quite nice and peaceful really. This was the quietest place we stayed, and again, would not say isolated but peaceful.|We had a whistle stop tour of the gardens, which we really enjoyed and would have loved to explore further.|Overall, we would return here - although as part of a package, not sure what this stay represents in terms...

We recently stayed at Pepper County home stay for 4 days. And it was the most rejuvenating and peaceful vacations we've had. The place is a 7 acre lush green property that works as a cardamon plantation, interspersed with Jackfruit, Rambutan, Mangosteen, Nutmeg, Cloves and various other fruits and spices. We felt extremely lucky to spend time in this paradise.

Mr Cyriac and Mrs Dolly run the place and are extremely hospitable hosts. They really went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The food served here was very good and the hosts made every effort to cater to our tastes. A big thank you also to their cook, Raju. Breakfast was always substantial and the highlight were the platters of fresh fruit from the plantation. Everything else pales in comparison when it comes to food that is Farm to Table.

The property is also pet-friendly and there was ample space for our 12-year old Labrador to roam around both within and outside the property. The room we stayed in was relatively spacious and kept clean.

The place has many exotic birds and it is extremely pleasant to listen to the birdsong at various times of the day. Making this place perfect for those who seek solace in nature.

To sum up, Mr Cyriac runs the perfect homestay and I'm very sure we'll be back again soon. We're also going to be directing a lot of friends and family this way.

We're always going to remember this as a very...

Dear Mr Cyriac and Mrs Dolly, Kudos to you both for managing such a lovely homestay. I visited Pepper County with my wife and four-legged son, Google. Firstly, any place that is pet friendly is always on the top of my review. Next is the serene ambience at the homestay even though it's so close to the city. Lastly, but not the least is the sumptuous food prepared at every meal. We were lucky to get some of the food prepared by Mrs Dolly also, and it was awesome. We have already booked for another visit soon.I wishg you both the best of health and happiness. Second Visit Jan 2024 As before, Pepper County is an awesome family homestay. A serene time with nature and sumptuous food.
