This was a package - so can't comment upon value etc.|The owners were welcoming and informed - and are rightly proud of their property.|They have expanded and built upon at different times to include a separate residential and eating block.|The rooms are very traditional with teak fixtures, balcony overlooking the garden and a separate seating area. |The food was cooked fresh, (no menu provided but we enjoyed the surprise element). This also meant, we couldn't use the balcony which was a shame.|there isn't much to do if the weather is poor - but I suppose, we were just unlucky, in that respect.|Noises from cows next door, but they were quite nice and peaceful really. Read moreWe recently stayed at Pepper County home stay for 4 days. And it was the most rejuvenating and peaceful vacations we've had. The place is a 7 acre lush green property that works as a cardamon plantation, interspersed with Jackfruit, Rambutan, Mangosteen, Nutmeg, Cloves and various other fruits and spices. We felt extremely lucky to spend time in this paradise.
Mr Cyriac and Mrs Dolly run the place and are extremely hospitable hosts. They really went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The food served here was very good and the hosts made every effort to cater to our tastes. A big thank you also to their cook, Raju. Breakfast was always substantial and the highlight were the platters of fresh fruit from the plantation. Everything else pales in comparison when it comes to food that is Farm to Table.
The property is also pet-friendly and there was ample space for our 12-year old Labrador to roam around both within and outside the property. The room we stayed in was relatively spacious and kept clean.
The place has many exotic birds and it is extremely pleasant to listen to the birdsong at various times of the day. Making this place perfect for those who seek solace in nature.
To sum up, Mr Cyriac runs the perfect homestay and I'm very sure we'll be back again soon. We're also going to be directing a lot of friends and family this way.
We're always going to remember this as a very...
