Planet Green Plantation Resort — Hotel in Kerala

Before you read this I must say you won’t find any negative point as we didn’t find any.

Firstly, we were a group of 4 members ( my parents both 60+ and me and my wife) wanted to travel Wayanad and wanted to stay in the midst of nature. This was our first trip to Wayanad so we were little unsure what to expect once we reach there. After lot of research in various travel blog, app reviews and comments I decided to book two Premium rooms in Planet Green Plantation Resort. A day before our journey from Bangalore to Wayanad I gave a call to the resort. A lady named Aparna Anand received my call, I just wanted to know about the place, weather, local transportation etc. to my surprise she assisted me in everything, cleared all my doubts, she was so well mannered, calm, composed and caring. When she heard about my parents travelling with us she became extra caring. Later I came to know she is MD of the resort. Next day during our journey she didn’t hesitate to write me if we needed any assistance on our way to wayanad and she had informed the manager to take care us well also my parents.

After we reached wayanad and Planet Green I got what I wanted, we were in the midst of dense forest surrounded by coffee and tea plantation. The view from our balcony is western ghats highest mountain peak Chembra. Between us and Chembra mountain there was not a single structure, roads or any other obstacle. It was only nature. We used to wake up seeing Chembra mountain from our bed. We stayed 3 nights 4 days although I wish I could stay few more days there.

If I don’t mention Dalvin then it will be very unfair. Whoever will read this review you will thank me if you ever visit Planet resort and meet Dalvin. Me and my family will remember him forever. He is a person who’s you can call and bother thousand times but in the end you will always hear from him Please let me know Sir if you need any other assistance :) he is a man of ethics, polite, a man with 24*7 smile on face, positive. On our first day he took us to the downstream of the resort showed us the property, took all possible photos so that we get the best images, explained every single things in details, also managed vehicle for us, get us the best priced car, driver as we wanted, places to visit as we wanted. He even managed a map for us and all this with a positive smile :) I can say so many incident with him which gave us a positive impression about him.

Coming down to food, Dalvin and the resort stuff cooked food as we wanted. They have their own menu which is very moderate price. And don’t hesitate to place food of your choice beyond that menu, they will make it ready for you.

I have travelled in many states in India and many countries but this experience was a unique one. Wayanad is beautiful but the place we stayed was even better.

Lastly, the rooms are very clean, very well maintained, sanitized, well furnished and cozy. 24*7 hot water in washroom. This place is must if you are a couple because you will get the privacy and all the comforts. Also a perfect place if you are travelling with family members be with kids or older parents because it’s safe place also easily accessible and stuff are always there for you.

I could write many more but that way you will miss all the good surprises like candle night dinner which Dalvin and his stuff prepared for us :)

If ever you are planning a trip to Wayanad then must visit Planet Green because all important tourist spots are nearby its location. Kalpetta (the main town of wayanad district is just three kms from the resort).

I’m sorry I couldn’t write any cons because me and my family had found nothing bad about our stay. We were happy, satisfied and overwhelmed.

A big kudos to Dalvin, Aparna Anand and her stuff members. Keep doing great work. Your hospitality is beyond...

The resort is a perfect retreat, the food is good. Staff is friendly, warm. Though there are still places for improvement. Food quantity is less for the price and they can include amenities to attract diversified customers. Small details will add value to the customers. Hope they focus on the little things. Amazing stay.. beautiful place, good service If you are going to Wayanad the best place to stay. Highly recommended. Actually we went there on October and still we are looking forward to go there. You can see the view of chembra peak from there which is a wonderful sight. Especially in the morning you can see the fog just infront of the rooms which is an amazing sight that you could never miss. The food is another thing. Its really delicious. Mouth watering food especially the fish curry and rice that we got for the lunch. we stayed there in tree house and in Dulex room also. both were good. Staying in tree house was our 1st experience and cant forget that. You must try that once. Staffs were very friendly and caring. Over all it was a very good experience. Excellent accommodation Neat and clean rooms with excellent view. Friendly staff and homely food. Very near to Kalpetta town. An excellent stream passing through the property. Birds, cats, hen, duck, rabbits etc for the kids to play and enjoy. Renjith Sajith and their entire team always ready to take care of all the needs. Tasty and homely Kerala style variety food. My experience was not good here.

So I went there in August 2021, expecting all the activities and amenities mentioned on their website, however what I got was a resort which was abandoned and consumed by forest, all I had was just a room, only two guests in whole resort, no amenities, even with food you had no choice, you will just have to eat what they decide to cook, and they too is not served properly.

Moreover, WiFi never worked for me during my stay, no trained staff, professionalism was not there at all.

“Sajith” (hotel management) told me this was because resort was just opened about a month ago after a long lockdown, however the money they charged me and the services and the quality of services they provided did not go well together.

I could have stayed in a much cheaper home stay, getting similar (possibly better) service in a much cheaper price.

Unfortunately I booked online and have done all the payment in advance so I had no other choice.

I hope they will get their resort sorted soon enough, they have a good place but it needs a lot of good maintenance to be...
