Riverdale Resorts Munnar — Hotel in Kerala

This resort is located in a very beautiful place. The view on the lake is worthless. Quality of the buildings is really good. Our room was spacious and well furnished. The Manager, with whom we always interfaced at the reception desk, was really professional and kind. He really puts a lot of effort to run this resort with high standards. We had a couple of issues with hot water and the hair dryer (not present by default in the room). Both of them were promptly and professionally solved. I think that there should be a couple of improvement to met European standards.

First of all, the breakfast buffet for internationals should be improved, toasted bread with butter and a fruit jam (only one option!) and few cereals is too limited (especially for longer stays). This seems also to be the standard for a non-Indian breakfast. For Italians (not only!) a sweet breakfast is really important, so I would consider improving a bit the selection. Regular meals were good, I enjoyed trying Indian food of this area and the variety is quite large. I had the best chicken Ularthiyathu of the whole holiday :)

In second place, I have found the room, despite being really spacious and well furnished, a bit dirty. Especially spots on the walls, right above the trash bin. It seems that someone just trow the coffee cup in the bin and it splashed on the wall. I don't believe that the cleaning staff did not see it. Other dust and some hair where also found here and there, and additional spots on the walls. Moisture was completely covering the shower curtain. I must also admit that, for our two days stay, the room was never cleaned. That could explain the dirtyness. It is a pity that the quality is ruined for these details!

Anyway, we enjoyed the place! :) I hope my comments can be useful for further improving...

Fraud Sales man Binu and Riverdale Resorts 🤐🤐||My family and my brother's planned to stay in this resort from 3rd may 2024 to 5th may 2024 hence we contacted the staff Mr Binu +91 96051 98588 and clarified our doubts . The first question we asked him was , how is the climate in your resort area and he said yesterday also it was raining and super climate . He did not mention that this is not in munnar and each time we must travel 20km approx to reach munnar . ||When we checked with the tourism department office in munnar ,.they told you came from a heat place|| ( chennai) and again booked your room in a heat place . The climate won't be good in Riverdale resort area.||Then we booked other hotel and stayed in munnar , Friday evening I spoke to a lady in this number +91 6282 333 955 and she said sorry sir binu is from sales team and we dont know all this has happed to you . We will talk to the management and check on your refund . The next day i sent her an watsapp reminder but she refused to make any refund .||While we paid 6k as an advance binu mentioned it's not refundable but he did not mention the distance or the worst wheather in this place . This is a fraudulent sale done by binu and team Riverdale . The best part is when we tried to bargain with Binu on the prices , he said sorry sir our resort is full and cannot give any discount. If the resort is full and when binu has cheated us why can't you refund the money .||If you want to have an holiday in munnar pls don't go here . This is far away from munnar...
