One of the most worthless hotels I have ever stayed. In terms of property, it is pretty good. Nice big rooms, the bathrooms are nice too. But, in terms of maintenance, it seems that soon they are going out of business. Anything and everything in the hotel is not working properly. We booked our room almost 4 months ago and I have mentioned clearly a non smoking king bed with good view if possible, and when we have arrived we have been given a room with twin beds for two adults and a kid and to our astonishment they have argued that all the king rooms are booked, we have arrived in the room and then realised that we can not sleep in these two small beds. So, we further requested them to at least join the two beds, so that our kid can sleep at the night, now, they have provided another room with king bed. So, why didn’t they do so earlier? The room is beautiful in terms of size and bed quality, but, starting from the basin taps to the bath, everywhere we can see it is almost unusable, the taps are loose, have leaks, water is flowing all over the floor. But, we remained silent as we could sense by that time that major problem of this property is their staff. They are completely non co operatives and I have my serious doubts that if they have proper training to handle their guests. We called the restaurant at night to know their dinner menu and they have rudely refused to tell us, so, we ordered in room dining, every food and drink was ridiculously overpriced, I should have no complaint for that, as it is a common procedure for any luxury hotel chain in India, but, the point is quality. When you are buying a sandwich for 700 bucks you can expect that it is properly made to your satisfaction and also properly presented. Just for a glimpse of the standard: we ordered a diet coke, we have received a normal coke, we mentioned that we have asked for a diet coke which was very much present in in room dining menu, then they have replaced that with diet pepsi. Why should a coke be replaced with pepsi? Furthermore, that was not mentioned during the order. This is what we may expect in a general canteen in India where they charge only 20 bucks for the drink, not in a luxury hotel where the drink is sold for 200 bucks. Next morning we requested for some drinking water, it was such a bad experience, for more than 1 hour, we called housekeeping, front desk for 6-7 times and finally I have to went to front desk in my night pyjama, to get only 2 bottles of water. I am amazed, do the wyndham group at all know and understand what sort of customer dissatisfaction is offered by hotels under their brand name? “Not providing drinking water?” Not only ridiculous, I believe this is punishable both in terms of Indian and International hotel laws. Every hotel should provide drinking water, either through their basin tap or by any other sort. Do you pay your staff? Do you train your staff? The tourism dept. should immediately look into it and either close them or take necessary steps against them. These are actually locally run under standard hotels in terms of staff quality with an investment from global chains for their structure. Wyndham should understand that investing in a hotel property means good trained and caring staff and good maintenance. Not only investing in the building. Anybody and everybody should never come to these sort of hotels who are expecting good quality from their so called brand names. Certainly I shall never...
Read moreI had a very unpleasant experience at Ramada Khajuraho. I am a consultant for a Cement Company, and i Had been working all week. I decided to book Ramada Khajuraho for two nights to rest.
I checked in at 8 in the evening on the 20th May.
On the 21st evening, I decided to use the gym, the gym was locked. I asked the staff to open the gym at 6:00. They made me wait for 45 mins outside the gym, saying they’re getting keys to open the gym. After running out of patience, I went to the front desk and asked them to open the gym. They said the gym is shuts at 7, to which I replied that your staff has made me outside the gym for nearly an hour.
Eventually they agreed to let me use the gym. One of the manager escorted me along to the gym. Upon reaching the gym, i saw three people using the gym. The manager asked me again to wait outside, he came back and said that the MD of the Hotel is using the gym, so you just wait for 10 mins as he’s finishing his workout and you can use after that. I nodded my head and told him, I won’t disturb his privacy, I’ll let him be. The manager insisted, so i decided to wait more. They locked the gym door from the inside again. He told me 10 mins but i waited for 20 mins. After the MD left, i saw that as he used the other door for his exit. I decided to knock again and again, apparently his son was using the gym now and he wanted his privacy. I honestly felt like knocking that door down and getting a facetime with the father and the son. I calmed myself down and headed to my room.
Can’t a hotel guest use any service while the owner of the Hotel is using those services for himself? Shouldn’t the owner and his family, give preference to their guest to use the Hotel services? I have been to Ramada’s across the country but never have i ever faced this kind of disservice. I wouldn’t recommend anybody to use Ramada at Khajuraho. The owners are selfish and I doubt they know anything about the term...
