FabHotel Newclouds resort Kodaikanal — Hotel in Kodaikanal

Allow me to shed some light on the situation regarding this property that has unfortunately misled and cheated me. ||To provide context, I initially paid ₹19,500 to CloudsMisty to reserve the property for May 2nd to May 5th, 2024 since they didn’t agree for the pay at Hotel option . However, I had to cancel my stay after a day, considering the circumstances the property offered. Upon discussing with the property, they agreed to deduct ₹7,000 (1-day cost) and refund the remaining ₹12,500 ||Subsequently, I rebooked through booking.com (as told by property, saying that it is the only way for a refund)  for the dates May 15th to May 19th, 2024, with a total cost of ₹32,617.20. Since ₹12,500 was already adjusted from the previous booking, I transferred them ₹20,117 on May 8th However, the property claimed not to have received this amount, despite it being debited from my account.|They said In order to ensure my booking remained intact  i had to pay immediately else i'll lose the refund money, I reluctantly transferred the same amount again on May 9th, 2024. The property had assured me of a refund if they received the duplicate payment.||Upon contacting the property to cancel within the allowed time frame by booking.com, they instructed me to wait for a waiver request link and don't cancel without the waiver link. Only after receiving this link , should I proceed with the cancellation. Even though i told  the property  the time was lapsing , he said it can be cancelled through support from property so i left it and kept requesting them for the waiver link . Once i received the link i sent a request to waive of the booking money of rupees 32,617 which they refuse to repay ||Now, assessing the situation, instead of receiving the initial ₹12,500 refund, I've ended up paying ₹20,117 twice, with the remaining ₹12,500 still with the property. Hence, they owe me a total of ₹52,734.||Despite my continuous efforts to resolve this matter, I have yet to receive a satisfactory response from booking.com and Cloudsmisty.   I have provided all details of the financial transactions and the chat messages through booking.com in my complaint to them ||Actually if you see , the property has taken me for a ride and made sure they used my circumstances to their benefit  :(  while making me believe they are helping me ||I understand that I have been cheated, but if my post can make a few people think twice about booking this property and save their money, I want...

Please don't get fooled by the pictures you see on the internet. The room was very dirty and the bathroom was even dirtier. There was no cable. The tv was an Android one so we could at least watch youtube. The bed was really dirty and they changed it once we asked them to change it. Getting the hot water running was a task. Bathroom flooded if someone took a shower. We have booked for a bedroom with balcony as advertised in the website. Once we reached, they told us that we had to pay extra for a room with balcony. We paid Rs500 extra for the same. This is the new name of the hotel and reaching here was a headache as it was not showing in google map and we were going in circles. Inside if the resort was very dusty and dirty. It looked like it was closed for a very long time. There was no restaurant near by so good luck getting and food on time. Be prepared especially if you have little ones with you.

Pros : Great location Great views Ample Parking

Cons: Food - please arrange something for restaurant within resort .. It’s impossible without food in a vacation especially for families. Every time we try to order food we were told the food was not available.

Service- There was single person taking care of most of the things which were delaying things.

Basic room maintenance- The property seems to be very old and windows were broken . It’s dangerous for kids to stay in such rooms with broken windows . Also it becomes too cold in the night with open windows. The bathroom fittings were broken with water leaks .
