Magizham — Hotel in Kodaikanal

We booked 3 rooms through agoda, we got confirmation notification also.Unfortunately only 1 room was available and we came to know that after we reached Kodaikanal. Staffs were polite and they gave 1 room ( only 1 room was available at that time)and made all possible arrangements from their side. Room rent was 3800 per room.

Pros **Surrounding ambience was good **good staff behaviour **nice food ** enough parking space Cons road to reach the destination was a bit difficult *toilet was a bit messy *hot water available only at morning and evening room rent was way high ( first they said 4.3k then changed to 3.8k)for a home stay like this.

Reply to the owner: Apreciate your response👍🏻 Booking issue might not be the problem from hotel's side, as i said earlier the staff managed it properly and i have given 4* for their work.I have to mention it because it may be helpfull for someone.We loved the first look when we reached the home stay, kids play area and camp fire set up were also there. But you know when we reached the room toilet was a bit messy and front doors condition was also bad. Hot water also available only at eveng and morning.Cleanliness was our first priority.The stay didn't meet our expectation because of these issues.If you can manage these issues in future i think it will be worth...

Decent Rooms for family within 2k below price range

Stayed for 3 days City centre Bedroom with attached bathroom and balcony Heater available Hot water for drinking and tea/coffee available on request Outdoor furnitures for breakfast/lunch/dinner is Bonus Enough Space for car/bike parking is another advantage.

If u r from kerala, kodaikkanal foods will be unsavoury (100%) only good one is Cholam

Breakfast/lunch/dinner will available in this hotel if requested, that will be better than outside food.. fresh and clean.. Staffs are also customer friendly (one mallu friend from Kasaragod will help u if u have language issues) Food cost are also not high compared to outside restaurants Campfire and BBQ is also available on request during cold nights on the lawn with mini amphitheater setup Follow the directions send by hotel owner to reach the hotel otherwise u may have an chance of getting 2nd road to reach the hotel, don't choose that way...coz it's too curvy and steep road which may lead to slip (90%) Rooms are correct as shown in the images in agoda and booking.com

Mini equipments for children's...

We stayed here for 2 days. Booked a double bed room. The room and restroom is well maintained and clean. Nothing fancy, but it is great for a getaway vacation. Affordable too. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. They prepare food as per request and it was quite tasty. Not too expensive too.

Be mindful of the road as it is very steep and narrow at some places. So it might be difficult to access. The location is away from the busy city, and the view is very pleasant. Parking is also available.

Safe for family and women, they do not allow drinking or smoking in the common area and courtyard.

Campfire and barbeque will be arranged upon request.

Overall we had a very pleasant stay here. A big thanks to the entire team...
