Hotel D Zojila — Hotel in Ladakh

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Hotel D Zojila Kargil during my visit to the beautiful city of Kargil. Unfortunately, my overall experience was far from satisfactory.

Let me start by addressing one of the most essential aspects of any hotel stay—the comfort of the beds. Regrettably, the beds at Hotel D Zojila Kargil were not up to par. They were rather uncomfortable, lacking the necessary support for a good night's sleep. This was quite disappointing, as a restful sleep is crucial for travelers after a long day of exploration.

Another aspect that fell short of my expectations was the food. While I had hoped for a delightful culinary experience, the meals provided were average at best. The taste and presentation of the dishes were lacking, and there was a limited variety of options available. For a hotel that claims to offer a quality dining experience, this was a letdown.

Moreover, the overall experience at Hotel D Zojila Kargil did not meet the standards I had anticipated. The service was inconsistent, with some staff members appearing disinterested and unresponsive to guest needs. The lack of attention to detail and a general sense of indifference impacted the overall atmosphere of the hotel.

On a positive note, I must acknowledge the hotel's location, which provided easy access to nearby attractions and offered picturesque views of the surrounding mountains. However, this alone was not enough to compensate for the subpar accommodations and underwhelming dining experience.

We stayed at Hotel D Zojila in Kargil and had a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. Our rooms were on the second floor, which opened up to a spacious common area—perfect for playing games and unwinding with friends. The view from there was quite stunning, offering a panoramic glimpse of the town and surrounding hills.

One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious food. The buffet offered a good variety of vegetarian options and non-vegetarian curry, and the hot rotis served fresh at the table were a great touch that added to the warmth of the experience.

Wish to stay there for a night during our ladakh trip, entry via srinagar. Because of sonmarg check post rules, we couldn't move towards kargil. We waited for long hoping to be allowed. But Alas! The Indian Army near sonmarg check point didn't allow our car to move ahead citing zojila risk even during daytime till afternoon. But they allowed tourist vehicle at 8pm on that day. 🤔 Wondering, with drizzling throughout evening how can the risk factor reduced at dark night!!

The owner n manager are so courteous that they keep in contact with us throughout that frustrating time. Since ours was direct booking after going through their website, and tgen contacting the owner, he is so modest that he refunded our advance money. Thank you for your generosity. Hope to stay...
