Heritage Madurai — Hotel in Madurai

Our recent family stay at the Heritage Hotel was truly memorable, and we want to share our positive feedback about the food, ambience, service, and exceptional staff. We booked 3 rooms altogether and really enjoyed our stay. Throughout our stay, we were impressed by the hotel's attention to detail, warm hospitality, and commitment to providing a remarkable experience. Let's start with the food. The South Indian food served at the Heritage Hotel was truly outstanding. The menu showcased a diverse range of delectable dishes that captured the essence of the region's culinary traditions. From aromatic rice dishes to mouthwatering dosas and fragrant curries, every meal was a delightful exploration of South Indian flavors.

The location of the Heritage Hotel was absolutely perfect. Situated in a picturesque setting, it provided a tranquil and serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Surrounded by lush greenery and offering breathtaking views of the surroundings, the hotel's location was truly idyllic. It offered a sense of seclusion and peace, allowing us to relax and rejuvenate in a serene environment. Additionally, the convenient access to nearby attractions and amenities was a major bonus. The hotel was located in close proximity to popular tourist destinations, making it easy for us to explore and immerse ourselves in the local culture. The staff's exceptional service stood out, making us feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout our stay. Madurai Heritage (14. - 18.08.2023) beautiful and peaceful Resort You can make pottery every day from 5-6pm (for free!), tht was a very good experience for both of us.. We had the Luxury room with a private Pool: it was very pleasant and very very clean! Restaurant: the breakfast buffet had many tasty varieties! We also had lunch and dinner there.. i loved the Madurai style veg biryani with patatoe varuval!!!🥹 and my husband had the madurai layer parotta.. almost the best he had in parotta - they put tandoor chicken inside the layers! Very clever! All the staff were very kind and helpful; especially Robin sir (Manager) he explained everything very well and also recommended us the beautiful luxury room.. when I my husband fell sick.. he got us medicines from outside.. he informed us very well about the resort.. all the trees inside - sandalwood tree (!!!!) in front of our room.. doing the job with mich love for sure! Rama akka kitchen tea/chai counter - makes actually the best Sukku Malli Coffee! Monica & Prakash, all staff at the restauration were sunshines in our stay: especially Monica made my stay very pleasant.. she will for sure be my favourite for a very long time and a sister near to my heart. Spa: Jeyanthi akka: she did a very good job, was very calm and patient they also had a very good looking receptionist always wearing a dhoti.. this was very nice to see when you enter the resort… Tamil Mann Vasan for sure! Seeing lot of reviews we decided to spend our holiday at Heritage Madurai, it's a very serene place calm and full of trees. It's best suited for relaxation and kids will enjoy the property. Big round of applause for the property security for their warm welcome, the Buggy operators, the F&B service staff(Poosathai, and others,Ramakka) during buffet.

Suggestions to Improve:

The reception and front desk staff can be more communicative explaining about the room, stay duration. That will be excellent. Also improve in the mail communication etc, though they call to check, connectivity with internet can be better.

Buffet menu there can be a mix of fusion of various cuisines, the food is good we felt the menu can have more options.

Ala carte Service is pretty bad, only one guy to wait on tables, his focus is only towards certain people. That can be improved as well. Day 1 we waited 30 mins without any response and we walked back. Did not see anyone bothered to even check what the issue was.

There is renovation happening a small request to not allocate rooms around such places especially for senior citizens and infants as it's a bit unsafe. Renovation is essential for the upkeep of property but it's better to take it in a sequence which can help.

Did not see the Hotel Manager around, that can be improved.

Overall the property and the staff made our holiday better we recommend the property to all for a serene,calm and relaxing holiday.
