Very very bad and disappointing experience
With 13 good reviews i felt i should definitely try this place to hav a good time with my family..but never thought it would turn into a nightmare...once you checkin your nightmare begins
It is run by localities so dont except any hospitality frm these ppl...only d lady who took reservations was civilized...other staffs were very very rude...they will make you feel as if they are doing a big favour by giving us a room.
The electricity goes off every now n then..n its d guest's duty to call them up by r phns to inform dat there is no electricity as their landline also doesn't work wen there is no power..then they do d needful...every single time. Expect the same at night..2 am ..3 am..half the time u will end up making calls informing abt power shutdowns....
They don't hav 24hrs kitchen service..U will b asked to order food before 2 hrs at any cost...if you are delayed by 1/2 hour or so then u will not get food...you will have to arrange from outside..in short wat ever may your emergency u need to order your food first wen they call for orders..they are not bothered of any of you situation (My son burnt his hand in hot water n we were attending him wen the staff called up for orders..we were delayed by 1/2 n they refused to take our orders.)
4.can Expect any kind of reptile in d toilet closet..we found frog in d western toilet..
5.Dirty mattresses..
6.wen you complain for anything they will end up giving some lame excuses..1 staff named Naresh went out saying dat "Apko review dalna hai dalo humko Farak Nahi Padata Hai"
Overall our experience was very very disappointing ..i wonder how they got so...
Read moreCasa de Kihim is one of the better options for a resort stay at Kihim. They have a large, well-maintained property and have chalet-styled cottages for accommodation. The rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. Each room has a mini fridge, an electric kettle and a foldable clothes drying rack, which I felt was a very thoughtful inclusion given that it's a beach resort.
The place is not on the beach front, but you can get to the beach in under 2 minutes from the back entrance of the resort. Plenty of parking space available too.
While away your time on the hammocks listening to the chirping birds, or relax on the cute seating arrangements on the lawns. Little ones can enjoy the slides and swings in the tiny kids area. However, there will hardly be any breeze inside the premises as the place is surrounded with tall trees from almost all sides.
The swimming pool is decent sized and clean.
The staff is friendly and warm. They will try to accommodate any specific requests like extra linen, etc.
Food quality was quite good. Keep in mind though that as they do not have a fully stocked kitchen, they will expect you to place your order a few hours in advance, so they can prepare food as per your order. Only starters are served in the rooms. For the main course, you have to go to the common dining hall. For breakfast they have a buffet, but options were very limited. Not sure if this is because it is included in the tariff. They will take omelette orders on the spot though.
I found the rates reasonable as well, for the accommodation and the food. You get your money's worth.
In summary, Casa de Kihim is a great option in Kihim for a resort stay with...
Read moreCasa De Kihim - A beautiful, peaceful and a well-maintained Resort/ Chalets at Kihim (near Alibaug), accessible from Chondhi Naka which is like a major market place of Alibaug. Also, approximately 11 kms away from the Mandwa Jetty / RoRo Terminal. The location is superb, as it's just a minute walking distance from Kihim beach, although that beach is not so clean. Varsoli beach is around 15-20 minutes driving distance from the resort, which is nice, clean and peaceful. The resort is well maintained and surrounded by greenery. The ambience of the chalet was amazing. Rooms were spacious and clean. The staff here was very friendly and accommodating. Since we arrived early, we requested an early check-in and since the chalets were available, they allotted us before their normal check-in time. Although they don't have a Restaurant, they have a kitchen where food is freshly cooked and served as per your choice and so they make sure that it is ordered couple of hours in advance, which is OK. Breakfast was sufficient and tasty, not much variety, but every day they served different items. AL Carte food menu is a little expensive, but the food quality is too good specially for Non veg eaters. Overall, it was a very calm and peaceful holiday of 3 days, we had a great and wonderful time together with our friends.
It's real value for money and would surely revisit. I would also suggest my other friends and relatives to book this Casa and stay here.
Thank you Casa De Kihim and its Staff.... Wishing you all the...
