Ekostay Casa Vayu Villa — Hotel in Maharashtra

I would have given this a 4-star rating, but based on the below, it has to be 1-star, due to the Eko Stay team.

I have booked this villa specifically for its remote location, hoping to get away from the never-ending construction noise of Mumbai and I also had family visit from Europe for a quiet getaway. I did ask the team at Eko Stay if there is any construction immediately next to the property, which I was guaranteed there will not be (screen shot below)

First of all, there is a brick-making facility adjacent to the property. Workers are shouting all day and tractors, trucks and other heavy machinery are passing the tiny lane outside the property all day and ALL NIGHT. Some are transporting what seems to be metal items and rattling on a country lane, the noise is deafening, especially at 2 or 3am. I wish somebody at Eko Stay would have had the integrity to be honest about the noise levels so that we can make an informed decision but I guess it all comes down to profit and making a sale.

The villa itself is lovely, decent bedrooms, good pool area.

The best part of the stay was the caretaker and the chefs, who looked after us really well.

Unfortunately, due to the noise levels and Eko Stay not being upfront about all this traffic scenario and the outdoor brick factory next door, I would not recommend this property or Eko Stay.

Also strange that numerous negative Google reviews disappeared... and it's place are two 5-star reviews from last week, without any explanation... something is not right here...

I have tried to post a number of videos from both day and nighttime to show the level of noise but for some reason am unable to...

Absolutely terrible experience. We got the confirmation and location details just hours before the stay. The caretaker was unreachable, showed up 3 hours late, and was extremely rude. The villa was filthy—dirty sheets, stained towels, unflushed toilets, messy pool, and filthy cutlery. Despite our late check-in, they took another hour to clean. Our Ecostay contact went silent when we raised concerns. We gave ₹1000 for snacks, got ₹600 worth of items, and never got the balance or explanation—just inflated prices. They also used our milk without asking, tried to scam us on food, and had the audacity to demand a tip, saying they hadn’t earned anything. We paid ₹21K for this? Absolutely not worth it. You can find much better for the same price elsewhere....
