I had 2 fantastic nights at Ajanta Green last year during my India trip as a solo traveler. The place is a few metres away from Ajanta entrance & not so far from the Buddha statue. I was surprised when I first came here because normally you wouldn’t expect a business with high standards in such remote areas. I had a spacious double room all to myself, huge comfy bed, brand new equipments, exceptional clean bathroom and a great view from the balcony. Needless to say about the food at the restaurant. I was over the moon! You can see everyone who visits Ajanta stops at the restaurant to dine. During my stay there I had a chance to chat with the owner, Ganesh and Gopal. They told me a bit about the village, their family business and the future plan. Such nice people. The staff, too. They made me feel so welcomed and gave me helpful tips on what to try, where to go… Thanks to them, I decided to visit Ajanta for the second time from the view point (20 something kilometres from the hotel) and it was totally worth it. They arranged a car for me to go there and later took me to the train station on time for my 4:30am train, all for very reasonable costs. On top of all that, I even received a goodbye gift from the owner, a discount for my second night! It’s been a year now, I’m happy to see you guys are doing so well. Keep up the good work. Thank you for everything. I wish you all the best and hope to...
Read moreI got introduced to Hotel Ajanta Green via my office (Avaada Energy). My personal experience was very good staying at the hotel. The food and stay are very nice, and most importantly, I felt the owners, who are a beautiful joint family, run the business with a lot of kindness, compassion, and hospitality. You will see bird water kept around a cow shed, and most importantly, very ethical people. They take care of many local families by giving them employment without any caste or religious bias, and they treat their staff with dignity. Yes, there can be things that they need to improve on. If you ever visit, make sure not to miss meeting with the following people, you will thank me later: Ganesh ji Gopal Ji (must meet) Darshan...
Read moreWe stopped here for lunch before visiting Ajanta Caves and it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious, we ordered Paratha, Dal Khichdi, Veg Kolhapuri and some rotis. Everything was delicious even the service was prompt.
One day later while calculating the expense we noticed there was a mistake on our bill, we had ordered 3 rotis but the bill has 30 rotis on it. I was definitely a honest mistake as the place was crowded due to long weekend. We didn't check it properly that day because we were in hurry to visit the caves, but we called the restaurant next day and explained the situation, provided him the boll copy and he happily returned the extra amount.
Overall good food, great service. High recommended while visiting...
