Pranav Lodging, nestled in the heart of Narayangaon just off the Pune-Nashik Highway, proved to be a convenient stop during our Ashtavinayak pilgrimage. This modest hotel offers a welcoming retreat for travelers seeking a clean and comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious, well-ventilated, and maintained with care, providing a restful environment after a long day of travel. The staff is notably courteous and attentive, ensuring guests feel at home, which is a significant plus for a small-town lodging.
However, the food situation is a drawback. The hotel’s in-house restaurant doesn’t cater well to early risers, with breakfast options unavailable before 9:30 AM. In a small town like Narayangaon, alternative dining spots are scarce early in the morning, so plan accordingly. We found a decent restaurant nearby, Shrimant Misal and Snacks Center, which served tasty local fare like misal pav, but it also opens later. The hotel’s chai was disappointing, so I’d recommend skipping it. For better dining, explore options like The Biryani House Narayangaon, though they’re more suited for lunch or dinner.
Traveling to Pranav Lodging is straightforward. The hotel is located in Warulwadi, Narayangaon, easily accessible via the Pune-Nashik Highway (NH-50). If driving from Pune, it’s about 80 km, roughly a 2-hour journey, making it ideal for a road trip. From Nashik, it’s approximately 100 km, a scenic drive through vineyards and rural landscapes. For public transport, the nearest railway station is Pune Railway Station, about 80 km away. From there, you can take a state transport (MSRTC) bus or hire a taxi to Narayangaon, which takes around 2-2.5 hours, depending on traffic. Alternatively, local buses from Shivaji Nagar Bus Stand in Pune frequently ply to Narayangaon, stopping near the hotel. If you’re coming from Nashik, Nashik Road Railway Station (100 km away) is the closest, with similar bus or taxi options.
For early morning food near the railway stations, options are limited. In Pune, Vahuman Cafe near the station opens early and serves decent vegetarian breakfast, but in Nashik Road, most places like Hotel Ramakrishna open around 10 AM, so pack snacks if arriving early.
Overall, Pranav Lodging is a solid choice for a budget-friendly stay with a strategic location, but the lack of early dining options is a notable hiccup. Plan meals in advance, and you’ll enjoy a pleasant...
