Korjai Kinara Homestay exceeded all expectations! The serene lake view from both the room and the outdoor dining area is simply breathtaking—a place where tranquility meets beauty. The sunsets by the lake are captivating and mornings are adorned by seagulls gracefully flying around. The presence of friendly dogs adds to the charm; they're around but never intrusive—welcoming cuddles and belly rubs if you're inclined. The owner, Mr. Laxman Rathiwadekar, a remarkably humble individual, single-handedly manages the property, from room upkeep to cooking and even procuring groceries from the market. He's a local expert and respected locally, guides guests on sightseeing trips as well as can drive us to different sites in his own cab on reasonable charge. The added convenience of the deck, allowing direct boat pickups when high tides, enhances the experience. The home-cooked Malvani as well as veg. Thali is delightfully delicious. Pratik, the owner's son, efficiently handles bookings from Pune as per guests' needs and provides insights on local attractions. Our 6-7 days stay here was incredibly serene—we couldn't be more grateful for the peaceful experience. Highly recommended! Read moreHonestly it was the best Home stay hotel we had for our first time. The major points working for this Home stay is the location. Facing the Tarkarli river, you can while you have your lunch see fishes, crabs, mud skipper's, flying fish and Herons. The cool breeze blowing across is just so relaxing. It was a wow experience for all of us! Another plus of the location is that it's located close to the chipi airport. Just 10 minutes by an auto probably, so you can arrive by the plane, deboard and come to rest within 30 minutes if all goes well.
Coming to the rooms, there are two rooms available for now. One of the room is AC. The other room also serves as a kitchen so that you can enjoy your meals. This non AC room can comfortably accomodate five adults. More rooms are under construction and are located above the existing rooms offering a more grander view in the future.
The best season to be here would be after Ganapati and till the month of May. By June the resort closes for the the rainy season.
The father son duo of Mr Laxman and Pratik are just so genuine. Gem of a people. Very helpful throughout our stay, they even helped my in-laws to climb up and down the stairs. But it's not really an easy task for aged people with knee problems.
All in all a wonderful and relaxing Home stay option perched on nature, with home made food. Yes that's right, home made yummy food. Those photos you see is what you can expect when you arrive here!!
Cheers...

Prateek and his parents are amazing hosts providing lip smacking veg/non veg malvani food and helpful in every way possible.
We stayed at this homestay for 12 days and never for a day were we bored or did not have any activity to do. Both the rooms are amazing and clean with river view and because of the French windows there is plenty of airflow giving you cool sea breeze.
Pros:
Amazing food and hospitality, great views, quite place away from the crowd, plenty of activities to do around (just ask uncle for itinerary), lush greenery around, proximity to tarkarli, malvan and chipi airport.
Only Con:
Parking spot is a minute walk away.
This is surely a place to visit for stay atleast once if you don't like crowd/noise/traffic. Do take the boat ride in Karli creek.
P.S: Please try to carry your dry waste(plastic, beer bottles/cans etc) back with you since there is no waste management facility available in...
