Mahalaxmi Beach Resort — Hotel in Maharashtra

Photos as well as reviews uploaded on Google are misleading. All this photos uploaded on Google and shared by owner are taken from such angle so as to mislead. The hotel owner sells the room by saying that it has balcony with sea view from side.

But nothing like that... Balcony of rooms opens up to backside of another hotel (photos of actual view from the room are here). You can only see bathrooms/backside of other hotel from balcony of rooms. Please don't get mis-guided by the photos here on Google. Not a single room had beach view. Owner sold us the room at higher price saying that these were the best rooms they had. Photos uploaded on Google must have taken two three years back when there were no hotels/any another property nearby.

After visiting the place, when we confronted the owner he rudely said that they have common balcony with sea view and if we want we can sit there with other guests in hotel(which we didn't used anyways).

Staff was also rude at first but later when we got frustrated they realise their mistake and helped us.

Price of the room is too high and facilities available are zero (many better options are available in locality at this price). Bedsheets and bed towels were smelly. Room size is so-so. Service was So-So. Shower in bathroom also doesn't work properly.No proper parking space available. There was no phone network anywhere in area even then wifi of hotel worked only in reception...

We travel as a family between 11 March to 14 March 2021. Writing review based on our experience

Location(5/5) Excellent location this hotel is right in beach with wonderful view of Arabian Sea. At the time of high tide waves touch hotel boundaries 😀

Room & Amenities(4/5) Rooms are decent with all required facilities

Food(5/5) Mouthwatering taste of authentic Malvani food you will get here. They have some wonderful chefs who can prepare delicious dishes as per your requirements. One feedback for hotel to start breakfast early by 7:30 may be.

Water Sports (5/5) This hotel holds its own water sports facilities and they are good. Special recommendation for Sailor Bhavesh who can take you for nice sea ride even up to Nivati fort or right in deep sea near Vengurla lighthouse. You may found this costlier than Malvan but I will recommend this as Malvan water sports is crowded and they take short rides

Staff & Service (5/5) Excellent and professional

Cost (3/5) One thing you might mind is cost, we found bit costlier in terms of room

All in all it was...

A nice , quiet place for anyone planning to stay! Service was okay since it's understaffed.. Food was not up to the mark . If you're staying here..you might actually consider eating somewhere else .. Overall the location is good , easy access to the beach and very peaceful.

Overall experience would be 6/10 Should improve food for sure !!

Also one disappointed that they didn't inform any guests that they don't accept online payment methods . All families / groups there faced major inconvenience at the time of check out , cuz the nearest atm is a 20-25 min drive.

One more thing to keep in mind - you won't find connectivity in this area... On the beach front , one can... The wifi they provide will rarely be helpful in any rooms there... Just in their premises that too partially. So not...
