The hotel is very strategically located next to popular tourist attractions. You have ample parking space at this establishment. If you use airtel, please be warned that there is zero network in the rooms and restaurant, even in the lobby. You have to go out of the gate to get some coverage. There is no wifi that can be used in case of emergencies. Coming to the rooms, except the royal family suite, rest of the rooms are located on top of a steep climb of stairs. The restaurant is located near the reception and room service is available. Now we booked a non ac room and the room was average. When we checked in it looked to have been just cleaned but had a strong odour of naphthelene which was irritating. The things that bothered me the most about this place is the cleaning of rooms during our stay and the service of the restaurant. The room was not cleaned even once after we checked in and we stayed for 2 nights and 2 days. While checking out the room was extremely muddy as we had visited during rainy season and despite taking out our shoes near the door, some of the mud got transferred indoors. The restaurant, its maintenance and food is below average to put it mildly. They dont serve tea before 8 am and that too we have to go to the restaurant. No room service at 8 am. We thought ok, maybe its too early. In the evening we asked for tea/coffee and were told that it wont be available before 5pm and again, we have to go to the restaurant to have it. We decided to skip it. For snacks, we asked if anything at all like maggi, french fries or some fritters, Sandwiches and the likes were available to which we were told there is no food preparation till 8 pm. Since we had small kids with us who feel hungry often, we chose to go out and buy some snacks. When we ordered dinner, we were clearly told it will be delivered after 30 mins as there were too many customers. Overall our stay was ok since we werent too fussy about many things but if you are someone who expects decent service and are used to staying in better hotels, please look for other options if visiting Panshet. I for one may not be staying this hotel nor recommending...
Read moreWe stayed in MTDC Panshet in February 2019. Resort is at hilltop and i didnt notice any public transport so one should have their own mode of transport to reach there. We took route via Khadakwasla dam , it was a scenic ride between Khadakwasla to Panshet but the road condition was not so good. |We had booked their 2 AC rooms on top floor in the main building. Rooms were large and clean, but to me it seem that probably at one point of time both the rooms fell in to seperate category because the size and design of both the rooms were totally different. One of the room was pretty huge with good decor and the other one was pretty good in size with plain decor but there was no comparison with the first room. 1st one was deffinately luxurious. And we paid the same price for both the rooms😀. I dont remember the room numbers now so not able to provide much details. As mentioned in earlier reviews, view from the room was blocked by sheds but if you book opt for cottage at the backside of resort then view is not blocked. As far as I remeber they only serve tea and few snacks in room service and their restaurant closes at 10 pm and there is nothing nearby the resort. Food was decent if we pick standard dishes dont expect them to cook something which we get only in finedine restaurants. Staff was courteous and helpful so full marks to MTDC on that point. Its a very quiet place with not much activity barring swimming pool and few games so dont opt for it if someone is looking for adventure sports. But if you are looking to spend a day or two in lap of nature, love to go around for a quiet walk then this is the place for you pretty close to home if you...
Read moreIn a place like Panshet, this is the best budget friendly accommodation you can get. Strategically located next to the water dam office (the dam is not open to the public). The place is close to Bamboo and Bricks resort where you can have a buffet lunch. One of the boating options is pretty close to MTDC - from the exit take sharp left (towards the dam office) and keep going for 800 mts. This one you would be able to get the dam storage side view. The other one is on the opposite side (from exit take right & keep going for about 1.5 KM) , this one is slightly more crowded as it has more options plus a good restaurant. Option 2 is a bit expensive, the only plus is the restaurant and it's in the same root as Bamboo and Bricks and Adventure Mavel. Adventure Mavel is also a good stop for a couple of hours. Adventure Mavel has a good view point. MTDC rooms are big , clean but not so well maintained. Mobile reception is very poor. Free WiFi is only in the reception lobby, but most times it's switched off. The staff is polite. The MTDC restaurant is the most pathetic . Food quality and taste is way below average. We had dinner as we could not go up to Bamboo and Bricks due to heavy rain , and regretted eating there. Breakfast has idli and poha . Was okay. Overall good but for food think of alternative options like...
